  • Uncle Sam original. Perfect with fruit and plain Greek yogurt. My other fave is natures path pumpkin flax granola.
  • Italian style spaghetti squash. I don't use this much oil. I use Pam. Ingredients 1 pound spaghetti squash, halved lengthwise and seeded 1 tablespoon olive oil 1/2 medium red onion, thinly sliced 1/2 medium zucchini, cut into 1/2 inch dice 2 medium tomatoes, diced 1/8 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper 1/4…
  • Matt...think about trying to eat just a little something for a week and see if you notice any changes. It starts your metabolism and gives you energy for your day! Just saw a study of people that were able to maintain weightless...they all ate breakfast. :)
  • Yum. Yeah - please share low carb crust. Is it almonds or something?
  • Change up your workout routine, drink tons of water, get lots of sleep and try changing what you eat but keeping your calories lower -- if you tend to eat the same stuff all the time. Recently busting out of my own plateau -- so frustrating!
  • I think they are bumping the post up the board so this thread doesn't get lost. :) I need to try the balsamic chicken one. Love the skinny crock pot site, too! I've not done the cranberry one with turkey breast, but I have done it with chicken thighs and YUM. Yummy BBQ Beef Roast - trimmed of fat Your fave bbq sauce Onion…
  • Drink your water and take multivitamins! I lost 35 pounds a couple of years ago without exercising. I used the south beach diet -- I think if you're not exercising you don't need as many carbs. Not NO carbs, but healthy ones (fruit, whole grains, etc.). Hope your medical issues get worked out. Hang in there!!
  • Yep. You can even do walk/run intervals. How are your shoes? You need to replace them every so often -- and going to a place where they can help you find the RIGHT shoes for you makes a world of difference. (It did for me anyway.) I'm due for some new ones, actually. I LOVE LOVE LOVE having great music on my iPod. That…
  • 1. To keep going with my P90X Lean workout schedule. Day 6 today. 2. To get that much closer to MEETING my goal at the start of 2012 instead of starting toward my goal then. 3. To encourage others along the way -- that's what gives me encouragement is seeing others succeed. 4. To drink. the. dang. water. Why is that so…
  • I love it! I have only been on it for a month but it has blasted me out of a 2year plateau. I have lost 5 lbs in a month and it's the only thing I changed. I also had 4 days in Vegas in there! I use it vas a meal replacement and love how much it fills me up. I have only good things to say. It is pricey, but well worth it…
  • A big salad, just veggies -- no cheese or croutons or meat. You could mix mostly salsa with just a bit of plain yogurt for a dressing.
  • I trained for a 10K for the first time this spring after doing 5K's for a couple of years. Ran a 10K with friends in NC in April and then checked the Bolder Boulder off of my list by myself in May! Woot! Running to the finish line into the stadium was SO awesome!! I followed Hal Higdon's 10K training program. If you google…
  • I try to have stuff that fits the bill but won't totally take my mojo or completely derail me. I lovvvveeeee ice cream....rainbow sherbet is a great ice cream treat for me. I loooovvvveeee chips. Special k cracker chips with red pepper hummus is a good chipsand dip treat for me. Stuff like that. I also have beenntrying to…
  • I'm sure you will get a variety of answers but I am in love with my Shakeology! No aspartame at all...the nutrition is absolutely killer!! . You can message me for more info. Love them...they taste yummy too, definite bonus!
  • Dijon for sure! Also, can't remember where I read to try this but is now my go to: pickled jalepenos (think nachos) diced in there. So yum! I also add dried dill weed. If you need the creamy aspect, plain Greek yogurt or a laughing cow wedge are my other two suggestions.
  • GORGEOUS!! So happy for you!
  • The Trop 50 juice is only 50 calories for a whole cup. I've only had orange and it's good, but I know there is raspberry lemonade, pineapple mango, etc. I'm sure you could mix rum or vodka with that and have good results! I also like the skinny girl margaritas. Pour it over crushed ice, add some fresh lime wedge...YUM.
  • I think it's cardio based strength training, so I think it counts for both, actually. :) Good for you!
  • Oh, and i did the Robert Ullrey (sp?) free podcast from the coolrunning website. It was GREAT to not watch the clock but just wait for this friendly little man in my ears telling me when to walk and run. When I started doing the longer runs, I just timed myself with my own music, but that podcast was perfect for me the…
  • I wasn't a runner and tried it 3 years ago. It was PERFECT for me. I still remember, and always will - the day I really DID go from running 8 minutes to running 20 minutes. (I planned to just do 12 minutes because that seemed more reasonable to me, but got to 12 and was like hmmmm - I bet I could do 15. Got to 15 and no…
  • Absolutely -- weekends are brutal!! I'm with you!
  • My best advice is to go check out the websites of places you're thinking about and check out the nutrition facts for their menus. If I have to, here's what I do: Wendy's, Sonic or McDonald's - Grilled chicken sandwich with no mayo, sometimes I don't eat the bun or just half of it. Side salad with lowfat dressing, no way do…
  • I love the Ratatouille recipe from the South Beach Quick & Easy cookbook. So yum!!
  • I got a free sample of shakeology (beachbody) when I ordered a workout. I am in LOVE with it. Price is the one downfall, but after two months of careful consideration and trying other things, I just bit the bullet and went for it. I love it!!
