  • Lifting doesn't make you look bulky, cupcakes do ! I lift heavy and i wouldn't say I look bulky
  • oh dear... no one knows:(
  • It is an open water swim, but not in a ocean.. tks for all the tips.. keep em coming! I'm still not sure what kind of pool training I should do for this ... like swim 400 then do sprints?
  • I love swimming! I get a lot of looks from the lifeguards with my workout lol.. I'll swim maybe like 100 meters, then I grab onto the diving board and do 5 pullups, then I go to the edge and do 10 pushups off the wall.. then repeat over and over.. its such a great arm workout.. if you do the pushups in the deep end and try…
  • Ya i don't need to take it off for the next so that's no biggie :)
  • I did find some.. i actually made this one here http://deliciousprimalcooking.com/2012/06/10/paleo-for-athletes-gnocchi/ there is quinoa flour in it, but it was sorta my cheat meal.. still much better than I would normally eat. It wasn't bad.. I would probably make again for a special occasion
  • There are a few paleo/primal support groups on here.. really great as some people are very judgemental about us Primal lovers lol http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/37-primal-paleo-support-group
  • Congrats on the success, you look amazing, and you can def see all the hard work you put into it :)
  • Carbs and processed foods aren't going to interfere with weight loss, however, a possible gluten allergy can't be completely ruled out. Either way, if someone says that you are having trouble losing because you ate a doughnut or drank a beer, you should ignore that fool because they are talking out the otherside of their…
  • I don't understand why you posted another topic with the same thing... http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/921211-gaining-muscle-no-fat-loss
  • I looked at your diary, and hey I'm not one to judge, but donuts everyday or beer or pretzels probably will slow down your progress. Perhaps its the quality of food you eat, so many processed things, and very carb heavy. Maybe switch it up with more protein, consistent meals and healthy snacks.. sometimes even if you are…
  • I make pancakes with almond butter, banana, and eggs all the time and I think they are great.. and my daughter loves them so even better.. Guess it depends on the person
  • I don't think this was accurate... it said I had 9 % body fat... not even close... my electric scale is closer to 25%... I def know its not 9 lol.. i wish!
  • I've done both the warrior dash and tough mudder before I even started crossfit. I also found warrior dash quite easy, but it is only a 5km race. Tough mudder was def a hard time, but I am excited to see if I find it any easier now that I have been attending crossfit. I'm signed up for the mudder in June, so I'll keep…
  • http://balancedbites.com/2012/10/easy-recipe-pumpkin-pancakes-from-practical-paleo.html I personally don't use maple syrup in the recipe , but use a mashed up banana instead to sweeten it up...
  • I did 2 kipping pull ups... I was pretty excited since I struggle so much on pull ups and was getting down on myself.. but kipping is easy to me- and my support team at the gym said some of them have never done one and i've only been here a few weeks... so it really made me feel good to know that everyone struggles on…
  • How far is the distance? I've done the warrior dash which is 5km, then the tough mudder which is 11 -12 miles.. if its just a short one, you don't really need to prep. I used soccer shoes for the short one, it helped grip the hills.. but really any shoes will do.
  • I make paleo pumpkin pancakes, and keep the leftovers in the fridge.. it keeps for about 2 days (never tried longer) and is soo fast to eat!
  • You will be fine. you practice squats, and learn the lifts and such... i don't think I even broke a sweat... they use pvc pipes which weigh like nothing.
  • This is funny, because I was just looking through the success stories section of the forum , and there were like 3 random posts def not success story, more of general help... made me laugh, but eventually they should understand where to post :)
  • I actually keep packs of beef jerky in my car.. lots of protein and ZERO fat.. low cals... I normally don't eat any other proceed foods or add salt, so the salt content in the beef jerky doesn't really concern me... I lost 50lbs eating beef jerky as a snack lol
  • well this is all I could find.. Right around my due date then 1 year later at an xmas party
  • - I would like to keep my eating to 80/20 rule, or better if possible - try new recipes so I don't get bored - continue trying to live more pure ( no soaps, lotions, or chemicals)... this is a hard one, but I now use the oil cleansing method to wash my face, and coconut oil on my body. I'd like to make my own detergent.…
  • I have actually had these and I find them disgusting! lol... however I recently discovered kelp noodles and they are awesome as a pasta substitute.. they are actually seaweed... but buy the clear ones not the green.. they are often hard to find usually at an asian market in the refrigerated section.. they didn't carry the…
  • I'm sorry but most of the people in this competition probably dehydrated themselves, and barely ate before this... that to me is neither normal or healthy... your profile said you are religious and do not judge others, but clearly from this original post you don't practice what you preach.
  • Tell em dairy and grains give you diarrhea lol... no one ever questions diarrhea... this also works if you want to call in sick without any follow up questions lol... But also bring a dish.. something awesome like bacon wrapped dates, or prosciutto wrapped asparagus, you will look super fancy :)
  • Great job!! always had to say no to something you love !!! Def a NSV :) I eat paleo so pretty much have bacon every other day.. plus I cook most of my food in bacon grease lol... but i don't eat grains, which would be super hard for others lol

  • The paleo bashing is so annoying.. she didn't ask for articles or a debate, just for tips, ideas, and weight loss experiences. All these people bashing it probably have never tried it 100% for even 30 days... Let the people who are loving paleo and successful give her some answers .. Really she has nothing to lose for…
  • People say this is a fad, and you can't eat this way for life, but I do... Paleo is the only time in my life where I lost weight without having to put 1 hour min in at the gym 6x a week.. ( i couldn't due to an injury). Other than the weight loss and becoming much leaner, some of the benefits I have personally experienced…
