It was a *****, but week 1 is completed. I worked 18 minutes of jump roping in by doing 2 minute intervals throughout my workout today. I got a ton of compliments on my workout after I was done and even got my future ex wife to agree to go out on a bike ride this week. Let's hear some updates!

This is a great idea! During my cross fit class last Sunday the girl who runs it talked about adding jump rope intervals to my current workout routine to change things up. So my plan was to add 5 two minute sessions in between my supersets. That will cover 4 days of the week, now to figure out the other three days :)

I am trying to get into it! I am up to 20 mile rides and I have a feeling my ankles and knees are going to encourage me to give up running and stick with the bike. I am trying to organize a MFP gathering up here in Michigan on July 1st, that will be focused around a ride also.

My first purchase was a "touch based" HRM and the previous poster was spot on with this comment. I had some crazy burns with that thing but upgraded to a polar model with chest strap and the first time I used it, I tried both units. The touch one was more than double the polar and the polar was about 10% less than MFP.

This is so true! When I first started trying to reach Ketosis I couldn't seem to get past trace. Vodka w/ water & a slice of lemon or lime is 55 to 65 calories per oz of vodka (depends on brands) and you can alternate plain water with the vodka w/ water and nobody knows the difference :)
