Every body is different and responds differently to changes in eating. For me, the SBD is the only thing that has really helped me to lose weight and keep it off (for the most part). If you open your diary, maybe we can help?

Agreed. The South Beach Diet has worked well for me (the times I've actually done it and stuck to it), including now. I've heard from others as well that phase 1 has helped them jump start their weight loss. Good luck finding something that works for you. I just started yesterday. It's going well so far. I made a bunch of hard boiled eggs, bought some non-fat, no sugar added greek yogurt, cheese sticks, and splenda to keep at work. I've tried it before a few times. Sometimes I just don't follow through. But 4 years ago I did it successfully for 6 months and lost 30 pounds.…

Broccoli Slaw from trader joe's. It's just shredded broccoli and carrots. I mix it with light mayo and a little lemon juice and put it on my sandwiches instead of lettuce.

Your HRM is probably more (but maybe not exactly) accurate because the numbers are tailored to your body (ie height, weight, age, gender, etc.). Cardio machines don't always include all those variables in their calculations, so they just give you a generic # of calories.
