You could do stretches, such as writing the alphabet with your foot, which will stretch the muscles in the front of your legs. I have a degree in exercise science. After cardio you should always have simple carbs- like an english muffin. Throw some peanut butter on for a little extra protein and some fat. You'll be golden.
