  • MissMaz... Just saw you are an American living in England! Same here! I have only been here for a year and nine months so you have a few years on me!
  • Woke up this morning and decided to go ahead and start today.. was going to take the day off because of that 6 mile walk yesterday but figured to push through it! SO glad I did! Workout 1 of the challenge is complete. Now out to spend some time with friends from work and of course Edward Cullen. Per my HRM:…
  • My average calorie burn on my Polar RS200, when walking on my treadmill for 3 miles is on average around 270 or so. I do the same as you and every now and again job for a little while but mostly it is just a brisk walk.
  • I am so joining in on this but can not start it until Sunday... I may be a couple days behind so I hope that is okay! Was going to start it myself anyway in July then saw this thread. Had every intention of doing Day 1 today but then I got on my treadmill and ended up walking 6 miles and I am knackered!! Tomorrow is a…
  • Very good day for you... and I agree VERY bad day in Football! Was almost as mad as when the US got kicked out. UGH! On a plus for me with the US getting kicked out though.. Tim Howard wasn't injured so he should be fit for when the season starts back! That is my silver lining!
  • Great job!! :flowerforyou:
  • I have a Polar RS200. I posted about it on my blog and took some pictures of the information that you get when you upload the data to your profile on the Polar website. You can read it here: www.mcgrae.com. From the research I have done I went with this on because it also has a way to set your energy expenditure which is…
  • I have the first Wii Fit but just got the EA Sports Active. The Wii Fit is nice to have something to do after another workout. Per my HRM I burn around 140 calories after 45 minutes on the Wii Fit. Now EA Sports Active for me really gets my heart rate up! I burn around 175 in 30 minutes. My HRM also tells me which 'zone' I…
  • I have heard that the use of cocoa butter may help in making them fade faster as it has Vitamin E. I bought some Palmer's Cocoa Butter Lotion and have started using it now. It says the Vitamin E helps smooths marks and tones the skin. They even have some that is specifically made for stretch marks. Figured if I started…
  • Okay guys... I'm just going to be up front and honest about this. I'm stopping the shred. It's not because I can't do it.. it's just because I don't think it is right for me right now. I know it is not all about calories but it is honestly only burning around 130 a session for me (per my HRM). I find myself continuing with…
  • Weights are required, most people use anywhere from 3-5 pounds.
  • Most people use circuit training but the calories to me seem to be way high on that one. Before I got my HRM I just guessed at 150 and when I finally got my HRM I was in fact burning anywhere between 135 - 150 a session. Since you are changing from cardio to strength your heart rate has a chance to come down. I don't find…
  • I agree, it may be because it's a different scale. Just do the above and weigh in when you get back home. I can weigh myself on one scale and step off and weigh again and it would be like 2lbs different. Scales are not the same.
  • Did you happen to weigh yourself again at 9:00am?
  • Of course you guys can join in.. welcome!! :flowerforyou:
  • I only burn on average 150 when doing the Shred per my HRM. With a avg of 136 and a high of 163 BPM.
  • Great stuff!!
  • What a great feeling! Congrats!!
  • My weigh in day is Sunday and I always tend to take a quick look on Wednesdays. If I see the same number or a higher number it always pushes me for the end of the week. I don't cheat either and I have been working out regularly and have slowed down to about 1.8/week and I am fine with that. Just look at the big picture!…
  • L1 Day 4 completed! Now off to play around on the Wii. Did some Wii Fit yesterday and today I went and bought EA Sports Active cause I found Game had it on sale for £19.99! Bargin. pmjsmom - Hope that baby come soon.. must be very comfy in there! Wishing your daughter the best. :flowerforyou:
  • Congrats! Can't wait to see the update to you being under 200!! :flowerforyou:
  • I've also heard a good thing to try is to not put the laces through the most bottom notches, this allows for more space for your toes.
  • Thanks viviakay! I thought I was going crazy there for minute! :frown: I am in the process now of writing an eMail to Asda about this mistake. They need to get that fixed on their website as well as on the packaging itself. Thanks! :flowerforyou:
  • Okay so now I have gone to Tesco.com (another supermarket here in England) and did a search for Closed Cup Mushrooms and their nutritional value is much much less! I am thinking that ASDA has made a big boo boo and labelled their product wrong. I shall be giving them a call tomorrow. Here is a link to the Tesco brand:…
  • Well really that is my question. The mushrooms I have and am using the guide on the container for are showing SO very high. I never knew mushrooms were that high in Calories/Fat/Sat Fat? They are just fresh mushrooms no oil involved. Here is the link to the product I bought from Asda, as you can see they have it all listed…
  • After taking yesterday off due to my lower back pain... Today I completed Level 1 Day 3. I actually did every single jumping jack today! I was way proud of that as before I was modifying them, but it seems my new nifty knee brace is helping with that. Still doing wall push ups rather than trying to do them on the…
  • I'll actually do 30 shreds but it will just take a bit longer if you take the 2 days off. I really don't feel the shred alone is giving me enough of a workout so I have been also walking 3 miles after it. I did that two days in a row and now my back is killing me. If I do the 5 days a week then spend the two 'free' days…
  • Well I just got a Polar RS200 and I  it! It was $105 from Amazon.com. http://www.amazon.com/Polar-RS200-Heart-Monitor-Watch/dp/B000H287NI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1277291868&sr=8-1 I did a lot of research about HRMs before I bought this one. My favorite part about it (other than it tracks everything known to…
