  • Yes, I should probably do that. The bike is about 10 years old and I think I just had a cursory setup when I purchased it.
  • Well I had an easy week, swimming, cycling and finally a pain free 4K this morning. I'll take Heather's advice and build slowly staying away from any pain. And yes dropping weight is bound to help. When I look back at the last few months, I think the time when I really pushed it too far was actually with cycling. I did a…
  • I think the more expensive one is two sensors, and the cheaper one is a combo unit. I bought the $50 one and it works fine with trainerroad and my ant+ USB stick. It also works with my forerunner 910XT. If you're going to use it with a specific watch, I would double check compatibility on the garmin website.
  • I got mine at MEC. $50 CDN for Garmin Speed/Cadence. I think its free shipping once you reach $50 too.
  • Hi Derrick, For coldweather running, I bought some Merino wool base layers at costco and a jacket on clearance at MEC. With some gloves and a thin hat, that seems to work for all but the coldest days. I just wear some regular track pants on the bottom. I'm probably closer to 200 all in. Just started trainer road last week…
  • Great goals! I'm taking a long term view on things as well hoping for a half in 2105 and a full in 2016. I set up a plan for next year froma book, but rally don't know how it will go as I've only done a couple sprint tris so far. For those I just kinda trained when I could fit it in. I'll send a friend request and…
  • Hello. I did a couple Sprints this year as a challenge from my sister. I'm hoping to do an Olympic or two next year as I'm never going to be fast, but I do seem to be stubborn. My last race was in September, so after recovering on the couch for 6 weeks, I'm excited to get going again. Just joined the group and looking for…
  • Hey guys. I just saw this thread, but I wish I had seen it a month ago when I started getting serious again! It sounds like a lot of of have similar stories. I think seeing other people logging each day is a huge help. I'd be happy if anyone would add me to their list. Thanks!
  • For me, the hardest thing is staying on track long enough to make good choices a habit. I'm hoping that by reading what everyone else is doing on a daily basis and connecting with a few friends, I can have the regular reminders I need to stick to it. I'm going to start by looking short term, which is why this group is…
  • Hi everyone, I'm a day late to the party, but I really need some motivation to keepgoing. As with most, I had initial success, but have fallen off for th last while. I'm starting at an earth quaking 303 and would like to get down to 290 by Chistmas which would be a huge success for me. See you alog the way...
  • Your plan looks good. The only thing I am doing differently is that the place that set up my meal plan suggested eating a 50-100 calorie, protein based snack 15 minutes before meals. This apparently makes you feel satisfied sooner during your meal and consequently eat less.
  • Hello! This is my first group...I think I just joined it. What do I do next? Looking forward to the challenge.
