My husband is in the AF as well. I'm jealous...we just left Hampton Roads in July. I had no idea I'd miss it there so much.

I think it is set up as a 9 week program because it is marketed toward people who are starting to run with no prior running experience. If you're starting from scratch, you NEED the rest between the runs, hence the 3 times a week/every other day approach.

I don't live there anymore, but my college town has a burger place that features The Elvis Burger: Cheeseburger with mayo, bacon and peanut butter. It is delicious. They also make fried oreos. It is a really good thing that I don't live there anymore, otherwise I'd be seriously going over my daily goals.

I just bought those the other day and did my first one (sweat & freedom) this morning. I have such terrible balance, I'd much rather stumble around my living room falling out of poses than at the gym. And like you said, for $1 you can't beat it!
