I just kind of picked up from the summer. I'd love to have a buddy though, so let me know when you want to start!

1 day down 29 to go!

Fantastic job!!! You have certainly motivated me to keep at it. Thank you so much for sharing.

I am trying to get myself motivated to exercise today. I hope to re-start my C25K. Wish me luck!

Hi Michelle, Welcome. Congratulations on your weight loss. Wow, I wish I had "met" you in the fall when I was floundering and desperately trying to hold on to "1200 cals is 1200 cals" Keep up the good work!

It seems most of us have taken various plans and personalized them I think ultimately that is what works best for us. I too failed at South Beach because it just did not have enough fat for me to function, while I had a friend who lost over 30lbs on it! Gosh! I wish I could ban snacky things from my house like Bonnie! My…

Congratulations on getting in some exercise and the weight loss! I love your enthusiasm!

I used to just eat the toppings too! I wanted something a bit more substantial this time around. The recipe did not turn out brilliantly, but I think I did not cook it long enough. I'll try it again this weekend and keep you guys posted.

Haha! I totally feel you on the cupcakes. I took my daughter to a party last week and not only did the have very scrumptious looking cupcakes the host kept insisting that I have one. Thank goodness it was my first week so motivation was still high. Good for you for only eating one and congrats on the weight loss!

Actually, thanks for reminding me of these. I've been feeling a bit bummed because after the massive loss last week, things have slowed. My daughter's fruits and the Easter chocolate are starting to look more and more tempting. I think the keto stick are exactly what I need to remind me that things are still working.

Hi Kim, Welcome! Hope we'll all be able to get to our goals together. I totally agree with you many of us at a certain age need to do more than count calories. I had the same thing. After the mid-30's our metabolism just does it's own thing and the cookie cutter just does not work for many us anymore.

What a busy woman you are Debbie! All that and still finding time to meet your goals. Very impressive! :-)
-
Hi Bonnie, Hope the day went well and that you made it like the little engine! Feel free to add me if you'd like encouragement throughout the day.

I'll go first, to hopefully get things rolling. I was sick most of the week. I made a massive pot of chicken ginger soup and ate it for a good portion of the week, All in all a decent week. 1: How much are you trying to lose? 68 lbs 2: How much lost this week? (Lbs or inches) 5lbs 3. Biggest temptation this week- Fruits- I…

That lettuce leaf tip came in handy for me yesterday. I met friends for lunch at a Thai restaurant . I really did not feel like having a salad, so I have ginger chicken and wrapped it in lettuce leaves. It was soooo good! Thanks for the tip. Tonight is pizza night. I'm going to attempt the chicken breast crust pizza. Will…

Those cloud breads do sound great. Thanks for posting the recipe. Sounds like something they used to call an oopsie roll. I think I might try it to make a BL:-). Sorry your family are ill DC. I'm battling the flu myself. I've been living off low carb chicken ginger soup for the past two days. Quite yummy actually!
-
Welcome Kathryn, I'm sure you will be able to make it. Maybe we should have a thread with easy recipes.
-
Welcome Rhonda. You have a lot going on! I am also a stress eater. My gosh, do I relate with the slowed weight loss! I'm sure you'll be able to make your goal in time for your son's wedding. Are you having bulletproof coffee or just coffee with coconut milk?
-
Hi Judy. Welcome. Congratulations on your weight loss. Fantastic job. You're right it can be very difficult-lets hope we can keep each other on track. Good for you for realizing that you need to adjust your son's diet. It is so much easier to get back on track when they are young. I recently cut out sweets for my…

Thanks dc! These sound yummy!

I've always lost better on low carb. I tried solely counting calories and it has not worked. I lost ten pounds in almost 3 months then I stalled and eventually derailed. I am now ready to get back on track and ready to accept that I can't consume over a certain amount of carbs. I would love to have some MFP friends who…

Thanks so much guys! Sorry about the late response but I just figured out how to get back to old threads. This is very useful information. I will have to ponder. It's hard to not focus on the scale, but at the end of the day what I really want is to look and feel better.

Wow! Truly inspirational! Just what I needed to see after feeling discouraged. I have resolved to sticking with clean eating and exercise in the hopes of reaching my goal in two years. I realize now that I was setting unrealistic expectations and getting upset when I did not reach them. Thanks so much!

anyone?

Hi, I'm 5'4". I started out with 60lbs to . I lost 10, then fell off the wagon in September. I regained 6 and have lost 4 of that so far. Long story short, still have 50+lbs to go. I have been doing Jillian Michaels DVDs and the C25K program. Would love to meet some new friends with similar goals

I agree with the ideas of different muscles being used and starting slow. I used to be able to do over an hour on the Ellipticlal yet when I did my first c25k outdoors, I thought I was going to pass out. My entire body ached days after. Now I look forward to my runs . It definitely does get easier.
-
I've also decided to lower my carbs to under 100 per day. I hope to get it down to under 50. Would love to see how others are eating.
-
Why not exercise in the morning? Make sure you are well hydrated the night before. Would it be allowed to get up before sunrise to exercise? That way you could drink after exercising.
-
Raw - carrots, tomatoes and cucumbers.

I'll partner up. I feel I need to shake things up a bit.
