Oh THAT'S what I was doing wrong. Should it be labeled as such on the back or on the stomach - er - I mean front?

^^this I was 244 and thought I'd be happy at 170. Then 170 came, and I thought "heck - why not 160) and so on. Some of it is mental throwback to my fat days, and some of it is just feeling like if I've come this far, why not go all the way.

Don't worry @Phrak- you're safe -- he only cares about shirtless men. Pant-less is okay .

This. I quit in August of last year, and I thought I loved it too. I still miss it - but I surely don't regret it. Oh- and I had smoked for a little over 30 years. You can do it - you just have to decide to!!

Any kind of seafood... yuck... Even the smell of it makes me sick.

'scuse me -- that ONLY applies if the bun is eaten after 8pm...

Yup - this makes a big difference over the course of a week if you're walking every day!! I made up a custom "food" with the calorie count = my calories burned per hour. Makes it easy to just enter the minutes exercised and have it do the math rather than me trying to do it on the go.

Well THIS certainly explains some of the posts on MFP...

And when I was a kid my doctor would sit at her desk and talk to me with a cigarette burning in the ashtray. Doctors are people - they aren't perfect and they have the same struggles that we have. Who doesn't tell their kids that they shouldn't do things that they themselves did when they were young? Same thing IMHO.

^^this Also - there is something to be said for the strength of supporting muscle and joints. It is possible that your knees are too weak to move enough weight to make your quads sore. If that's the case, it will just take time for your knees to "catch up".
