  • I have never jumped rope outside of gym class in elementary school. I have really gotten into getting fitter the last year or so, with Turbo Fire, Body Pump, running the Warrior Dash and a couple other 5K's, most recently am a few weeks into a Turbo Fire/Pump hybrid. Then I got cast as a featured dancer in Legally Blonde…
  • They are two completely different workouts so it depends on what you are looking for. I haven't done Insanity but I did Turbo Fire and lost over 20lbs and 15 inches in 90 days. They are a lot of fun if you want good cardio and to lose weight. Not so good for strength training. There are a couple DVDs for that but it is…
  • Get it going and stick with it! I lost over 20lbs and almost 20 inches with Turbo Fire last fall. I am currently finishing 90 days of Pump or I would jump in with you today!
  • Yes, I haven't done the class in the gym, but the hour long DVDs go through a warm up, squats, chest, back, biceps, triceps, lunges/squats, shoulders, abs and a cool down/stretch. The large muscle sections are usually 5.5 minutes, the smaller muscles being 4-4.5 minutes. The barbell that came with it is really easy to…
  • I am fairly new to running, almost done with C25K, and I adore my Mizuno Wave Riders. I spent my youth in highly competitive athletics and Mizunos have by far been the best athletic shoes. They have a feature on their website that allows you to put in your info and they recommend a shoe. Just my two cents. I would…
  • I do Body Pump at home and I would agree with starting off lower than what you would think. Those are long sets with lots of reps, much better to start lower and work up than start too high and have to take them off.
  • I use protein shots because I can't stand the texture of shakes, protein bars, greek yogurt, etc. The ones I use are whey protein, and they are a little expensive but they are about the only thing that works for me.
  • Its not just doing as many reps as you can, they constantly change the tempo too to keep your muscles confused and working hard, not settling into the same repeated movement over and over. I just list it as weight training, and I ADORE the Beachbody at home version. I am almost done with 90 days and I have lost a bunch of…
  • I am a 38DD and have always had a challenging time finding a bra for working out. Title Nine makes some wonderful ones, but sometimes they are so tight I feel like I can't breathe. The Champian one listed above is the one I currently use. It is great, there is still some bounce but I can still run a 5K and not have a black…
  • Another week, another zero weight loss. Can someone PLEASE help me?
