Here are some successful strategies that I have used to combat my binge/purge cycles: -Know what your triggers are and try to avoid them (for me it's a combination of fatigue, boredom, and anger/stress) -Do not keep binge food in the house or easily accessible at work -Keep your calorie goal reasonable - you are more…

I rotate these three recipes and occasionally make changes such as adding different vegetables, going meatless, trying new spices, etc, but they're pretty solid as is. Pulled pork in the crockpot is also a cinch! - Unstuffed cabbage casserole - Chicken tortellini soup - Butternut squash chili

Hi there! I'm 5'5" and started in March 2015 at 172 lbs, and I'm currently at 121.9 and doing the slow creep towards my goal range of 115-120 lbs. Mind if I add? :)

Once I got near my goal weight, I had several of my nice, good-quality work and cocktail dresses altered - I was quoted $10 each for unlined and $25 for lined dresses, which is a pittance compared to the original retail cost (usually $200-400). Anything beyond a 3-size reduction was deemed risky in terms of final proper…

I started out not being able to do any, but after around 3 months of dumbbell weight training and doing 1 rep sets on the bar (I have the bar over the entry to my kitchen so I attempted one every time I went in there) I could do 5 reps x 4 sets, and now I can do 8 reps x 5 sets (at 6 months). That's underhand, overhand,…

Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew...I couldn't help myself : ) In all seriousness, I eat them baked with splenda blend brown sugar, cinnamon, and I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Spray to minimize the condiment calories. Alternatively, you can cube 'em up, toss them with some thyme/rosemary/oregano, olive oil, and…

Edamame is full of protein and delicious with a little bit of low sodium soy sauce - you can find it in the frozen section of most stores.

Huh. I'm 5'4.5'' as well, and my goal weight is also 135 (started at 167). During college, I sat at around 135 and thought that was where I looked my best, but then med school clinicals happened and I ate way too many pints of ice cream. Since I have a history of disordered eating where I got down to 110, I know that I…

Yum! I have everything but the peppers and I just happened to be on my way out the door to the grocery store - thanks!

I get this if I eat dinner after a particularly strenuous class like spinning or kickboxing, and I have no idea why it happens. My solution was to have something small (like a a piece of fruit, handful of nuts, or protein shake with almond milk), wait for 1-2 hours, and then eat dinner. Will be watching this thread to see…

I remember how I felt after my last comfort binge, and that usually stops the impulses. For happy occasion emotional eating, I traded one evil for another - I now comfort shop. I season my food with the salt of my bank account's tears.

Just made these yesterday, and I have to say they turned out better than expected! The key is to wash them really well and let them simmer in a good sauce for a while so you lose the fishy flavor. I prepared the whole 1 lb bag, added lotus root and turkey meatballs, and let that simmer in a sauce of composed of miso paste,…

- It is delicious - It goes better with my protein powder (extreme chocolate) - It has fewer calories than skim milk - It keeps longer than cow's milk...I would regularly throw out half the carton because I just don't drink it fast enough!

I would try to isolate particularly why you "get tired of it." Is it because you're hungry all the time? Don't have supportive friends? Overwhelmed by advice? Don't know where to start with healthy recipes? Physically tired? Once you figure that out, you'll have more information to work with and hopefully things will go…

^^^This, a million times! I really don't understand why people are attacking you for this post/attention whoring when it was clear you were trying to be supportive, and especially when you revealed that you're going through some tough times. You don't have to let their negativity infect you! //not religious, but can still…

Anything + red pepper hummus...usually it's cucumbers or pretzels but it doesn't really matter since it's all just a vehicle for the good stuff anyway : )

We're long distance, so just seeing each other is enough. However, I do plan on making him chocolate crepes in the morning, and we usually make a yummy salmon dinner together in the evening followed by chocolate fondue.
