  • I like this book. There is no end to it. It is a lfe style change that is easy to do. I highly recomend it. It is very easy to follow.
  • It is a book that follows low carb with high protein. It slowly introduces carbs and the rest of food into your eating habit. It is 4 cycles of 17 days. For me, it is easy to follow and the food is easy to find. You actually start on the plan with high protein and 17 minutes of exercise a day. I hope this helps.
  • I can tell you that I have had success with the 17 day diet. I started on Jan 1 and by Jan 31 I had lost 20 pounds. I got sick with a respiratory infection, so I did not follow and only lost 1 pound. I have started back today now that I am feeling better. I was almost through the 2 17day cycle. I like it and plan to…
  • Well, I started the 17 day diet on Jan 1, and as of jan 31 have lost 20 pounds. I have been sick and not following the diet which is why I have only lost 1 pound since then. I have followed the diet and have gone to the gym 5 -6 times a week, before getting sick. Starting again. I do believe it works.
  • Well, I started this challenge at 246. I haven't been marking my weight, but as of today Jan. 22, I am at 231. I'm doing this with cardio and The 17 day diet. The doctor who wrote the book said if you followed this, the weight would fall off. He wasn't kidding. It's been easy for me to do and I really am starting to enjoy…
  • I can do that. I haven't had a soda since Jan. 1. I really haven't missed it. I have am also trying to give up empty calories in bread. That will be my mini challenge. Thanks for the support and encouragement.
  • I don't know how to edit my other post, but so far my SW was 246 wl 1 - 239 Can someone let me know how to edit post so I can use my original one that I set up. Thanks.
  • I started on the first too. It's an easy plan to follow and the food on the list is stuff that you can find. I weighed on Tuesday because of a challenge at work and lost 3 pounds. I was curious and weighed this morning and have another 4 pounds. I drink a lot of water and have been doing cardio with this. I like it. I stay…
  • I've been working hard, I actually can't wait to post this weight. It's going to be a great Sunday. I hope everyone is having a good week.
  • Day 3 - logged food and exercise Did four flights of stairs for the challenge at work. Having a hard time eating enough calories though. I'm still working on that. Don't want to starve myself.
  • I agree with MIMITIME. I have found that if I write down my meals the night before, the next day, that is all I will eat. If I don't write it down, then for some reason I eat whatever. I don't know what it is about writing things down for me, but it does work. You can do it.
  • I believe that it's 20 jumping jacks. I just do 30 seconds of jumping jacks which almost 30, 3 X a week. Hope it helps a bit. Sorry, don't know how to do the quote thing. Thank you for your answer.
  • When you talk about 20 reps for jumping jacks. how many do we do in a rep? Or is it just 20 jumping jacks 3 X a week? Thanks for the explanation.

  • Hi Mayra26, sorry about this and I hope this doesn't change anything. I hadn't weighed in awhile and I didn't think my weight had changed that much. So here is my new SW 246. I guess I went a little too crazy this past week. So, I'm hoping this challenge will help me. This is the most I have weighed in my life. Oh well, I…
  • Hi, I'd like to join too. Starting weight is 241 Looking forward to getting rid of 10 pounds this month. Thanks for starting it.
  • Please don't be afraid. I began MFP in October, did not start again until the 30th of this month. I asked for friends and had 12 friend requests in the first day. You CAN do this. The support and motivation on this site is amazing. I was a little apprehensive about this working. I have dieted and dieted more than I can…
  • I want in also. Thanks for starting this challenge. I just hope I will know how to enter my weight when that time comes.
  • How do you add friends? I need friends also. Thanks,

  • Hi, I am 49 and have 40+ pounds to lose. I would love the support and motivation from everyone. My goal is to get it done "this time". Thanks.
  • I have read the book and think I am going to start too. I like the fact that this is not weird food. It's things you should be eating everyday. I'm just starting MFP too, so I'm trying to get used to all of this. It will niced to see how other people are doing on this "diet". I think it is more of a life style change to me.
