Hi! Here is my brief intro! Struggle with the same weight gain/loss cycle every year- in the downward movement part of that cycle now. Start weight was 238 Current: 214 First Goal: 180 After I hit the First Goal I will move on to making a more permanent weight goal, but in my adult life I have never gotten past my plateau…

You may also consider checking with friends/family to see if anyone is good at taking in clothes or knows of an alteration shop that will do inexpensive alterations. This won't work for everything by any means, but you may be able to get a little more wear out of your pants at least if you can find someone to do this. For…

I also have a regular meeting with friends once per week. We consistently meet on Thursdays, so I always know Thursday is the day I will go over on my calories. If you can truly keep to only an additional 200 calories on those days, I think that is amazing. I tend to go significantly higher than that! Just be cautious and…

My list changes periodically. Here are some of the ones I like right now: *One Card Short (not sure on artist) *Just Dance (Lady Gaga) *Boom Boom Pow (BEP) *So Happy Together (New Found Glory) *I Want you to Want Me (Letters to Cleo) *Moves Like Jagger (Maroon 5) *I Gotta Feeling (BEP) *Loser Like Me (Glee) *LIght Up the…

Excuse me if I missed someone who already said this- but my profile is set up so that I should lose 2lb per week. My daily intake is set at 1200. Under my exercise tab there is also a goal of 1000 calories burned per week. The two combined would be equal to a loss of 2lb per week without eating back calories. I can see…

Also, make sure you watch for the David's Bridal $100 dress sale. This is how I got my dress (my amazing Maid of Honor actually paid for it). You can really find some good stuff in this sale, and if they don't have your size, they will check other stores and have it shipped in. My wedding, overall, was not super thrifty,…

I am using "The Black Eyed Peas Experience" rather than Dance Central, and I don't think it has a workout option. Either way, I logged my time as General Dancing, and cut out about a third of my time to account for when you are standing still (though I did try to keep bouncing in place the while time rather than just…

It all depends on what you are interested in. *Videos may not be "creative," but they can be useful in mixing things up. Sometimes I like to pop in one of my old school videos from back in the day (Claudia Schiffer abs and MTV The Grind Dance Exercise) just to make it more fun! *I like to use Hal Higdon's race training…

I think part of the happiness is simply feeling better physically. Typically weight loss comes with increased energy and a sense of accomplishment. Both of these feed into our overall mood and perspective on life. Your weight may not change being happy with everything, but it helps!

When I reach my first goal (lose 30 lbs)- I will likely just sign a big sigh of relief that I have made it that far! Second goal (additional 30 lbs)- I will go purchase a pair of jeans that make me feel like I should go out in public just so people can see my awesome jeans. Final goal (another 20 lbs after the above)- I…

I think one of the most important things is not allowing yourself to feel bad about a bad day or few days. Last week was my birthday and so I knew that I would have a couple of birthday dinners out, etc. I also think that you have to try to plan to allow yourself those indulgences here and there. I have one consistent day…

There has certainly been a wide variety of opinions for you to choose from. Some things to take into consideration- breakfast may be a choice, but you do want to be careful about balancing your diet, exercise, sleep, etc so that you don't experience any hypoglycemic symptoms. I am not always a breakfast eater myself, and…

I have 80-90 to lose (I know this doesn't meet the 100+, but it is still a big mountain to climb!) Would still love any friends/encouragement! Good luck to everyone!
