I'm 5'3"and 135lbs. I've sloowwwly lost 5 lbs since joining. Ideally I'd like to lose at least 5-10 more lbs. Also would like some more female friends with similar goals!

A week ago? It took nine months to gain that weight, remember? Cut yourself some slack. ; ) Most of my friends took a year to get to a stable, healthy consistent weight in a HEALTHY manner. To echo the person above me: slow and steady wins the race. If you are breastfeeding, it may come off pretty fast. At least it did for…

Hi, I'm a 33 year old mom. My starting goal here was to lose 10 lbs. Feel free to add me. : )

What about Edmontonians (that's me!) ? : )

I'm 33 and my goal is to lose 10 lbs. Over the past month I've lost 5, primarily by just making better food choices and at minimum taking a walk every day (it's hard for me to fit exercise into my schedule). It's amazing what a difference that 5 lbs makes, : ) Let's cheer eachother on!

For the past month... I have everything I had before, but in moderation. I eat less (waaaay less) fast food. I eat less refined sugars and processed foods. I eat less fried foods (particularly my downfall, french fries). I eat more whole grains. I cook more at home. I pack lunches far more often. Oh, and I try to take a…

I was 135 lbs (my heaviest ever up till that point). I went up to 173 - so I gained 38 lbs. This is with eating very well, walking every day and doing yoga. When I went back to work after one year of maternity leave I was 125lbs without even trying to lose the weight, I was just cooking a lot at home, taking my son out…

They all look great! My favorite is #4, with a lighter coloured shoe. I'm glad you're hanging on to #5 because it's such a gorgeous print. Congrats on your weight loss! Hope you have a wonderful time. : )

I have the same problem whenever I watch tv or even at my desk at work. : ( I mainly drink coffee, tea, or as you mentioned, water. If that doesn't cut it, I snack on something low cal... cucumbers, celery, berries, apple slices. I have a friend who keeps her hands busy by knitting, she says that helps.

Height: 5'2.5" HW: 137 (Well, when I was pregnant I was 173 ; ) ) CW: 133 GW: 125 My healthiest adult weight was 118 lbs, I was super active and didn't really have to consciously maintain. I have a full time desk job, then I go home and I have limited child care opportunities to go exercise, hit the gym etc. I try to fit…

You look fantastic! I don't know you, but I feel proud of you! lol

Great job! I'm your height and slightly higher than your start weight. So very impressed!

There is a definite difference! You look healthier, more toned. Even your facial features are more defined. Keep it up! : )

I'm 33 with a two year old. I haven't been with MFP for very long. Most of my exercise involves chasing my son and I find that using MFP is helping me schedule in exercise and motivating me to make healthier food choices for myself and my family. I must be young at heart - I find it hard to believe that I'm truly grown up…

Keep it up! I can totally tell, you look fantastic! : )

Congrats on your new addition! I have a 2 year old, also my first. I know what it's like trying to find time for yourself - it is quite the adjustment, isn't it?! You are welcome to add me if you'd like. : )

I love coffee. I love the taste. I also love the routine that goes with it: preparing and sharing it at home, the walk to buy it and socializing that comes with it at work, driving thru with my husband/friends. I owe it big time for helping me make it through college... cramming for tests and finishing papers may not have…

To echo everyone - you are so inspiring. You have every right to be proud, and I am sure your husband and son are proud of you too! : )

I am also in my 30's. Since having my son I find it difficult to go running, to the gym, or to hot yoga... all activities I did pre baby. My husband is a healthy weight having lost 35 lbs by taking up sports again and cutting out sugars (he used to drink pop/soda every day) ... I find that I really have to watch it or else…

You can do this! Welcome to MFP!

Welcome! Great attitude. : )

Ditto. Maybe we just see what we are looking for? And there is a wide variety of food at Walmart - good and bad!
-
So do I... and its because I eat a lot of fruit. Which is a good thing! I wouldn't stress about it as long as the sugar is from healthy sources. : )

I got married at 26, had my first child at 31. Everyone is different, it's all good. You're definitely not weird and I'm jealous of the fact that you can sleep in and spend all that time in bed lol. : )
