I am a sugar-holic, and that is part of the reason why I've gained the weight that I have. I suggest NOT being sooooooooo strict everyday. Let yourself have a treat or two if you want them, but be sure to log them. That way you don't feel deprived, but you are holding yourself accountable. Also I recommend this gum for…

Growing up we always used applesauce instead of shortening. I didn't even know what shortening was until I was in high school.

I'm not sure if this would work for you or not, but there is a compact bike pedal machine that you can use in a regular chair. http://www.target.com/p/Stamina-InStride-XL-Exercise-Cycle/-/A-10821687 You might be able to move it further away from your chair to allow for your knee issues, but I might be totally off base. I…

Ugh... any chance you can move? I know that's not realistic, but this is a hard one. :/

This. Also, what the heck does she need to talk to you about everyday?! Maybe it's just me, but I don't even talk to my own mother everyday.

I suggest this: It's the best gum ever invented, has a real chocolatey taste, and only 5 calories per stick. :)

I do it Sunday morning! I just did my first one too. :)

Congratulations!!! I've just started out this week, but today I'm noticing that these pants don't feel so tight. :) I haven't weighed myself yet (I'm trying to only do it once a week so I don't become obsessive) but I'm really excited that I don't feel like I'm crushing myself all day long. :)

Great work! :)

Make a smoothie!! I've been using 1/2 a cup of juice (pick your favorite!), and 1 cup of assorted frozen fruit (this is in the freezer section of most grocery stores), and a banana. I also throw in a scoop of protien powder. Blend it up, and it makes about 3 glasses.

My mom called me "Amanda Panda Bear", or just bear for short. My dad's always called me "Sis" because that's what my younger brother called me growing up. My husband has 15 different nicknames for me. haha

Awesome job!! Sweets are my weakness, so this is something I'll have to do. :)

I'm 5'6" and my goal weight is 135, which is where I felt my best. In high school I was 120-125ish, and I looked too small. I'm my current weight in my profile picture, but it's hard to tell. I'll try to upload another. :)

I would suggest finding activities that you like doing. Maybe running on a treadmill isn't your thing, but how about a road bike? Or ballroom dancing? Maybe you could volunteer at a local animal shelter to walk the dogs? There are things that get you moving other than the gym, and you just need to find something that you…
