  • You are doing a good job, don't beat yourself up at all. We all have days where we can't seem to stop eating you are doing fine. Tomorrow will be a better day. :flowerforyou:
  • Tamim do you consider the reduced fat foods such as 2% milk or cheese to be "OK" . Dang another thing to worry about LOL.
  • Al lot of us wrestle with this issue. I started out with the attitude that I would not force myself to eat mainly because I am so overweight that I felt the psychological/emotional aspects to my obesity were at least as important to my long term health as the actual weight loss. This often led to days where I would have a…
  • I didn't know that fat free foods have added chemicals. Is there somewhere you can reccommend that I can research this? My mother in law also had the attitude that those types of food were no good for us, she always said to eat the natural foods but in smaller portions. but I don't know what the truth is.:ohwell:
  • Wow congrats on being able to feed 6 people on $100 a week. .. thats fantastic. I would think that you would do well to stick to the whole feeds and cooking from scratch like your grandma. But substitute fat free and low fat products , for things like cream and cheeses. Also bulk brown rice, fresh and frozen veggies,…
  • Cheat night .... work it off after dinner!!!! :flowerforyou:
  • I say that the man really loves you. He went clothes shopping for you on his time and spent money that you say you guys don't really have on something that you had discussed before hand. So this shouldn't be a huge shock. Believe me if he were trying to insult you there are a lot less subtle way to do so. I say take it for…

  • Oh my god!!!!! :noway: I can't believe that number is possible. :noway: You must consult a doctor and a nutrtionist. What do you guys eat? Or is his problem genetic? Is the rest of your families cholesterol so out of control?
  • Take it easy for a few days and if it doesn't improve, see a doctor. Good luck and congrats on the exercising :flowerforyou:
  • With all you are dealing with right now that 600 cals. should be no big deal. You deserved it. Tomorrow is a new day and you will get right back on track. :flowerforyou:

  • Hi and welcome to you both. :flowerforyou: The logging becomes easier as time goes by. One hint is to log your meals the day or evenin before when you have more time, doing that also helps me to stay on track because I know exactly what i am going to eat for breakfast and lunch. I never know what dinner is going to be…

  • Starting weight: 347 2 weeks ago weight: 338 Current weight: 336 Goal weight: 319 Goal weight loss a week: 2 lbs Pounds lost this week: 2 pounds lost total: 11
  • If you can't do anything else just continue to log what you eat at every meal and snack everyday and slowly start to cut out the extras. For instance if you see that you eat chips or cookies 3x a day cut back to 2x, measure your snacks instead of eating from the bag. Small steps will grow into long strides. If you can't…
  • That warning was on cigarette packs for a very long time before people started to quit smoking. At least since the 60's, And I am not sure that it had much to do with the turning point where the majority of us quit. I think that the cost and inconvenience of smoking had more to do with quitting than anything else. For me…

  • You should probably go to the emergency room to have the infection treated. You don't want that to get out of control. Usually an oral surgeon will have an answering service and someone will get back to you (Soon) if you call them. Try that I don't think painkillers help with the pain from infection. Good luck I hope you…
  • You and yours are in my prayers. :flowerforyou:
  • I tried some a few weeks ago and they were GOOD! I would buy them again if I had a craving. At least I could eat enough of them to stop the craving at the time as the calories were reasonable for the serving size. I wouldn't eat too many at a sitting though because too much Olestra has the tendency to go right through you.

  • UMMM. Would you mind telling me what part of my PERSONAL experience is not true. Perhaps you heard what he told me (from whereever you were that day) more clearly than I did in his office.
