Amazing transformation! You must be so proud of yourself! :drinker:

Sorry...fixed it now!
-
Great progress - you look great!

I won't say anything like that to the women at our gym until I can bench press as much as they do! :blushing:
-
Um...I'm Steve...Sorry... :embarassed:

Supposubly...this makes me cringe when people who are SUPPOSEDLY educated use it.

I always look at it from the long term perspective. My daily goals become part of my weekly plan. If I go over a little one day I know I can make it up the next day with just a little extra attention, but if I go way over it may take three or four days to get back to where I need to be. This keeps me from over indulging.…

Subway veggie sub for lunch, pasta primavera for dinner with a salad?

I do lots of cardio, and two days a week I do some pretty heavy weight training. I have mine set to 55% carbs, 20% protein, 25% fat, and that seems to work for me. When I have a large calorie burn I try to pack in more protein before I opt for carbs.
-
Try to replace some of your carbs with protein. This tends to fill me up for a longer period of time. Protein bars (but watch the sugar content), and protein powder or shakes work for me. I just started using Pure Protein bars that I get at Walmart for around $6.50 for a box of 6 bars. Pretty tasty, filling, and 20g of…

YES! Just do it! ...and when you can't jog any longer slow down and walk awhile...then jog again! It only matters that you want to do it...who cares what others think?

Glad to have you here! Good luck to you and your girl!

I think I like you! :drinker:

I most definitely plan to continue tracking after I reach my goal. This is the last time I am going to have to lose this weight, and tracking is the only way I can be sure that I will hold myself accountable. Also, I now have the knack of eating/exercising to lose weight, but the whole idea of adjusting things to maintain…

Let's trade! I sit and inspect financial documents for my company all day, and try to figure out how to squeeze out a little profit with all of the government regulations and taxes that are imposed on small businesses these days. :explode:

I just started running on the roads, and have begun to adopt some of the techniques used in "natural running". This has made me shorten my strides, and land more on the balls of my feet which seems to help a lot with reducing the impact on my knees and ankles. After a couple of runs I have no pain (other than screaming leg…

Sign me up - I'll help you fight them off! Sorry...didn't mean to make this thread too FB-ish. For me it's 91.2863% fitness and 8.7137% social

I get a sashimi appetizer, and stick with spicy tuna or spicy salmon rolls. Nothing with cream cheese, fried ingredients (crunchy), or any kind of sauce. Also, low sodium soy sauce and lots of wasabi! Enjoy!

^WINNER!

Ha! That's an NSV for sure! ...and someday the sauce will make it all the way to your shoe!

I never think of any day as a "cheat" day. If I know I am going to eat more (or less healthy) because of a party or going out with friends to a restaurant, I just make sure that I hit the gym that morning and the morning after as well. I never seem to have any problem burning enough exercise calories to make up for my…

I use a tsp, of imitation vanilla extract, 1 packet of stevia, and a generous sprinkle of cinnamon. Tastes great!
-
Awesome NSV my man! Keep up the great work!
-
I lowered my goal for sodium to 1500 mg/day. It seems pretty low, but if you are really paying attention it is not hard to stay below that. At least when I go over now I know to make up for it the next day. Good luck - this is one that takes some work!
-
Hey, that's over 10% that you have lost! Awesome work! Keep it up - you're doing great!

I take the initiative and introduce myself to other members - male or female - after we have done the obligatory weeks of nodding, waving, hi - how are you? kind of stuff. I often find that the only reason they don't approach me first is because they are too shy to do it. I now have a group of gym friends that help me stay…

Niiiice!!! Didn't fool me, but I couldn't stop myself from looking anyway! :embarassed:

I just do it! I figure anyone looking at me just wishes they had the guts and determination to do it as well! Go for it! :drinker:
