LOL! My mom's from Germany and I grew up speaking the language so I slip German words in my regular day all the time. My husband has to constantly say "I don't know what you're saying. Remember, I don't speak German" LOL We say "Ach kvatch" all the time (no idea if I spelled that right).

This is EXACTLY what I need to get me re-motivated! Thanks, Bikinimission! Location: Indianapolis, IN, USA I like: Photography, theatre, and traveling I don't like: Whipped cream (seriously, makes me want to gag) Current exercise: Lots of weight lifting and calisthenics, elliptical/precor machine, some Turbo Jam (will be…

Hey everyone!!! So glad to hear you're all still trucking forward and pushing your limits! That's what this is about. Pushing yourself a little further, proving to yourself you can accomplish more each day. Yesterday was my boot camp day so I didn't do any crunches, but it's okay, I still have well over 2000 scheduled for…

Rachel - HOLY COW!!!! 2 1/2 MINUTES?!?!?!? That's AMAZING! If we were handing out awards for this challenge (note to Clew, maybe we should talk about this  ) you would absolutely win something for that. Outstanding!!! Eliz - It is NEVER too late to join!!! You can either extend the challenge for yourself to go into…

Yesterday I did 127 crunches: 40 one-leg crunches (extend one leg out, the closer it is to the ground the more intense. The Indianapolis Colts do these kind of crunches), 40 alternating slow/fast exhaling with each crunch, and 47 on the stability ball (used this as a time filler while my friend and I switched on and off…

You are all most certainly welcome for the planks  You'll be loving me for them by the end of this month you see the difference in your core. Denise - If you're feeling a plugged up feeling in your ears when doing planks you're not breathing or your holding your breath for an extended period. Remember to…

Thank you SO MUCH for sharing!!! Your story truly has inspired me. I'm bouncing back from being sick last week and you really have given me that extra push to give my workout my all tonight. Thanks, June!

Clark - Planks are when you hold the push-up position. Make sure your hips are pulled in so your body is a straight line. If it's too hard supporting yourself from your hands to toes, you can go down to a less advanced stance from your knees or on your forearms. I like doing mine from my toes to my forearms. Hope this…

PLANK, PLANK, PLANK, PLANK, PLANK! Mountain climber, "swim" (aka dying bug, for this you lay on your stomach and keep your elbows and knees off the floor then alternate them in a "swimming" motion, I'm not coordinated so I look like a dying bug). Do intervals of 60-45-30-15 seconds.

OMG! BUMP!

Hey Arielle! I'm definitely not NEARLY as advanced as you are in C25K, but what other leg strengthening exercises are you doing? I would strongly suggest doing squats and lunges regularly throughout the week. I've really noticed a difference in my quads from doing approx. 100 squats a week (sometimes like holding a weight…

Bump!!! Thanks!

Lose 30 lbs by Christmas!

I don't know about restaurants in Dallas, but DEFINITELY go to the aquarium! I had never been and my husband took me in the winter and it was SO MUCH FUN! You could pet sharks at the one we went to, not sure about Dallas, but I still highly recommend it! Enjoy! Have a wonderful time!!!

Muscle is what burns calories, so the more muscle you have, the more calories your burning when not working out. I do several weight routines with any cardio exercise. I love doing shoulder presses (I started w/ 5lbs but moved up quick from there) and bicep curls while standing on a Bosu ball (half ball thingy) because it…

Great idea! I'll eat one sandwich and an apple or grapes or something. I work downtown and the closest grocery is about 4 blocks away so I'll get a little walk in too! Thanks everyone!

1) I did not know I could save my marriage by putting myself first. 2) I did not know I would be able to walk by doughnuts at work and not even WANT to eat one. 3) I did not know the value I attributed food and how that changed (without me making a conscious effort) so that I could lose weight. 4) I did not know it would…

Melt some Laughing Cow cheese in it (I love the creamy swiss, but they have garlic and herb too which is good). I put a wedge of the swiss in my scrambled eggs every morning.

bump! Thank you! I've been looking for something easy to do at home in the mornings and this will be great!

I enter my KB workouts as Calisthenics, light or vigorous depending on my form, effort and how much my shirt is sweat through! LOL Sometimes I think the vigorous setting gives me way too many calories so I opt for the light to make sure I don't eat too much (yes, I know eating too little is also a concern). Hopefully I'll…

Bump! Thanks, Clew! I need to cut down on my sodium too. Edit: So did not mean to rhyme. Sorry folks :blushing:

To be fair, I have not read all the posts on this 4th page of my original post, lol. But I just want to be clear, it was not my intention to fuel a debate. I just wanted some advice and I think I now have enough information to make my decision. Thank you everyone for your input. I'm doing 40, 30, 30 and see how…

Thanks, shygal! It's nice to find someone else with similar calorie intake and see how they "spend" it. As for the other debate, doctors and dietitians (among other professionals) disagree on the "best" all the time. I'm sure we could all find credible sources to back up our opposing views. Let's just say we're all…

I do not normally have such high amounts of honey or peanut butter, but I was trying to get in my calories for the day. I posted a status about it and those were 2 items I had on hand that people had suggested. I've come to the conclusion to slowly decrease carbs and not take out more than I feel necessary. I do not want…
