I've also been doing some research on inductions, and most woman have told me that induction contractions are way worse than natural contractions, because induction contractions are more intense and are right on top of eachother, instead of being a bit more spaced apart like natural labor contractions. My due date is next…

39 weeks, up 30 pounds... this baby needs to hurry up and make an appearance so I can start working this stuff off!! lol

Hey everyone! Just checking in, it's so quiet around here! I hope everyone is doing great (new mommies and those of us still playing the waiting game). I had an appointment last Friday, and the doctor said that I was 0% effaced and the exam "made" me dilated to 1cm. So basically... nothing lol I go again this Friday…

38 weeks, now up 30 pounds.... ready to get this baby out and work on losing all this weight!

Brunette- That cracked me up! lol And goodluck with your induction, let us know how it went, I may have to be induced and I'm very curious about the process, etc.

Mp- CONGRATS!! Wow that sounds like a pregnant woman’s dream as far as a labor/delivery experience! I’m truly jealous because I feel like for some reason I am going to have a difficult labor, because I’ve never had the best of luck lol But we’ll see! AFM- I had an appointment this morning, baby girl is consistently…

My Ice- I hope everything is going well with your c-section!! Congratulations! AFM- this past weekend I got the carseat installed, the baby's clothes washed, folded, and put away, and started gathering items for my hospital bag. Yesterday morning I was experiencing shooting pains across my stomach and down my back…

Helon- I finished my nursery, with the exception that I need to find an area rug, pom-poms to hang as decoration, and I need to wash & fold all the baby's clothes. I'm hoping to get that done this weekend. I also want to start packing my hospital bag and install the carseat this weekend. I like to be prepared early lol…

mpederson- The massages sound lovely! I wish my health care covered them, I've never had a massage before. I wish I could afford to get one, as my back and shoulders are now in so much pain since I've gotten bigger ughhh. Enjoy! Helenmelon- I'm starting to look into freezer-friendly meals/recipes. I should probably start…

Just checking in, I'm now 32 weeks, and I'm up 28 pounds (yikes). Doctor wants me to stay at/below 35 pounds total. So I've gotta realyl start trying to control my heavy carb/junk eating... easier said than done. I do still workout almost daily though.
-
- hahaha thats awesome

helenmelon29- Thanks! I'm trying my best to stay active, but my eating habits have still been pretty bad... I can't seem to say no to brownies/ice cream/cookies/etc lol What exactly is a cervical sweep? It helps get the process moving along? I don't know what it is, but it made my body hurt just reading it lol

Destiny- I’ve heard the following can help induce labor: sex/orgasm, walking, using a breast pump, and eating foods with lemon in it (weird I know) lol The sex theory worked for my SIL and the breast pump theory worked for my neighbor (as apparently using a breast pump or breastfeeding making you contract). Good luck! AFM-…

I know how you feel. By 20 weeks I had gained 20 pounds and my doctor was constantly asking me to “slow it down”… uhh sure doc, I eat healthy, workout 5 days a week, and I never had morning sickness so I never initially lost weight like a lot of women tend to do in the 1st trimester. But now at 30.5 weeks I’m holding at…

Happy Wednesday everyone! I had an appointment this morning, my weight settled back down to normal (thank goodness!) so the doctor was pleased with that. She also said that everything with the baby looks healthy and she's going to keep the due date of Sept 7th. So all in all it was a good/normal appointment. I hope…

Melissa-It’s so exciting that your baby will be here any day now!! Good luck on your inducing techniques :)
-
mpederson- I look at my arms in EVERY picture of myself these days lol I swear they are getting pretty large & in charge, despite my efforts to stay active and do light weight lifting. My boobs however have stayed the same since the 1st trimester, they got a little swollen, maybe a C-cup and that was it, I was expecting…

Hey ladies! My ultrasound went pretty good this morning I suppose. The baby is measuring about a week behind, so the tech said that my due date is probably more like Sept 15th instead of Sept 7th. I just figure this little girl is going to make her appearance whenever she sees fit really lol It wasn’t possible to get a…

My doctor actually scolded me yesterday and made me cry over my weight gain. I’m 30 weeks and according to my scale I’ve gained 25 pounds. According to the doctors scale (when I weigh in fully clothed, etc) she shows I’ve gained 30 pounds to date. Either way, she said she only wants me to gain 5 pounds over these last 10…

Hello ladies! Well I just got back from a week of vacation in Maui. It was great to relax by the pool and the ocean, but the flights back to Maryland (3 plane rides, and 13 hours total) were brutal on my body, talk about KANKLES! I got the results of my glucose test, I believe the doctor said my level was “76” which is…
-
Hello ladies! Well I had my glucose test this morning, it wasn’t as bad as I thought really. The baby’s heartbeat is strong and so are her kicks!! The doctor placed the instrument on my stomach to listen to her heartbeat and she kicked the doctor’s hand so hard she almost dropped the equipment lol We were both cracking up,…

Yea you guys make alot of sense. I'm just so used to my morning workouts lol but I'll skip it for tomorrow, lord knows I get hungry enough as it is, no use adding to the hunger monster lol

I lift about 4 days a week, focusing on different body parts each time, and then I do 30min of cardio ususally afterwards. It helps me feel strong and I never push myself beyond my comfort zone while pregnant.

^This, I do the same thing, once a week, after I do my morning pee, naked, etc. I actually did my weigh-in this morning, and I'm 27 weeks today, and up 21 pounds total so far now, which I've been at for the past 2 weeks. My doctor also asked me to slow down my weight gain, because she prefers that I only gain 30 pounds…

Hello ladies!! I start my 3rd trimester today :) I’m so excited! But now I’m definitely feeling the pressure to get the nursery done for baby girl. I go to Hawaii next weekend for a week, but then when I get back it’s time to start saving for curtains, an area rug, crib mattress, shelving….*phewwww!* So far we’ve only got…

[/quote] I wouldn't worry about it. If you are goin gto have a "natural", drug free birth you might want to try and read some books or watch a youtube video. Otherwise, the doc/nurse will talk you through it. Either way you will go home with a baby. As far as the breastfeeding goes, there is usually a lactation consultant…
