  • A couple of years ago when I was on JennyCraig, they used to tell you to limit different types of high sugar fruits such as melons and berries, but there you were always told to eat at least two fruit servings a day. I'm pretty certain that the JennyCraig diet is nutritionist formulated isn't it? JC did work for me, I lost…
  • I used to hate it to, then figured out that the reason I felt that way was because of how depressing it was to face all my bad food choices at the end of the day! You'll get there, when you start to see the benefits of logging, you'll start to look forward to it :)
  • I have the c25k program on my ipod and had started this a few months ago but lost motivation after about 3 weeks. Think I will start again today with this as well :D should definately boost my exercise and calorie burning!
  • I'm in! I got really excited and laid down to do the sit ups right away, and managed about 25. Went to the site and found that would put me into week 1, column 3. On reading further into the site though I was left with the impression that we should be doing crunches/curls as opposed to *full* sit ups... Waited a half hour…
  • I never really did until I started consciously loosing weight. It started at 115kg when I went under that, then became 100kg, and is now at 90 kg (which I just went over recently, thus joining here!). If I'm honest with myself, I expect that my panic weight will never go under maybe 75kg - My goal isn't too far under that…
  • So glad to hear that I'm not the only big girl who believes in this! Sometimes when I see girls and women dressed in clothes that are clearly inappropriate for their size or body shape, I feel like rushing up to them and offerring to go with them the next time they go shopping! As a younger woman, I will say that it is…
  • Hi and welcome! Glad you have decided to become an active member of the community, it is definitely easier to do all this with a good support network and some people to talk to who understand exactly what you are going through :)
  • Wow, you are doing great, keep it up!
  • Congratulations on your new found motivation! It's terrible that you are facing these terrible medical issues, but you should be so proud of yourself for wanting to do all that you can to improve your life :) You sound like you have a lot of determination to turn things around. Welcome, and good luck! PS - I <3 your rabbit…
  • Welcome! Glad to hear you are doing better :) This site really does help you be more aware and make sure you are balancing diet and exercise correctly. Keep it up, you'll get there!

  • I don't want to be a party pooper.... But just for clarification, even here in Australia where healthcare and maintenance is available for FREE, Type 1 diabetes in not reversable... Only Type 2 is reversable. I don't think that doctors and pharma companies are trying to pull the wool over our eyes by convincing us not to…
  • I almost started to cry on Saturday when I saw that I had somehow gained 3 kg in two days, then quickly pulled it together when I realised that I'm almost at 'that time'. I decided not to log the weight gain and weigh again in two more days. So, weighed again this morning, and back to where I was on Thursday... Those 3kg…
  • I don't own a scales, but I work at a doctor's surgery so will weigh myself once or twice a week on the big digital scales there when I am on the early shift by myself (hate people knowing I am weighing!). I find this is decent for me, because it's usually spaced out enough to let me get a general overview of the week and…
  • This reminds me of "friends" I used to have who I would go shopping with who would laugh and mock the XL and XXL sized clothing in stores, and expect me to laugh along... I always wondered, could they honestly not have been aware that those clothes would have been too small for me??? I'm glad you are taking this the right…
  • Hi! What an awesome, supportive community this is! Welcome! I'm really excited to get to know you while we both work toward our goals :)
  • Just a guess.. but with so much exercise, maybe you are losing fat and gaining muscle! I'm sure you have heard the old addage that muscle weighs more than fat, and as you are still seeing a reduction in your measurements, I don't think it's completely unlikely! You must be looking pretty toned now :) Congrats!
  • Having only been here a few days myself, I am already seeing how fantastic this website can be in helping manage diet and facilitate weight loss! Good luck on your journey :)
  • That's amazing, congratulations on your progress so far! When I started at the beginning of last year I was at 117kg (about 260lbs) and by exercising 6 days a week (2 x 45 min jogs a day) and dieting like a mad woman, by June was at 82kg (about 180lbs). I was so excited every week to see the numbers going down, so I know…
  • This really depends on how big you are at the moment. It's easier to lose a lot at the beginning when you are big, but I have found the losses tend to slow over time. That said, in the past I have lost 2.5 kilos one week then nothing the next... These things just happen sometimes! I guess the most important thing is to…
