  • The hubs and I used the D word the other night. I am mentally exhausted between this past weekend and now this. Want to just stay in my PJs with a closed bedroom door. The good news: there's no pantry or fridge in here. The bad news: there's also no Eliptical in here. Just venting. If I say it out loud to any of my friends…
  • Ladies! I'm back and ready to get back to work and on track! I had an incredibly sad weekend. I held my friend while she cried, and we were so busy getting caught up and dealing with her situation that we didn't eat much we didn't drink much, but we did have relaxation. I was over my calories, but not by much and I'll burn…
  • Hello, my name is Red and I drank martinis for lunch. Have a great weekend! Hope diverting stays healthy and happy! Red
  • Sylvia! So glad you didn't need the strainer afterall, but sad that it was something much more serious! You'll be back to yourself in no time! Hugs from NorCal. Red
  • So I'm working out on the Eliptical and I'm feeling quite fat and uncomfy. I'm thinking that the biscotti I ate at 10 last night and which put me over my calories made me gain weight!!! I persevered.... Umm, just went to pee and noticed my panties were on backwards. :o Yeah, that's my day today. Red
  • I head to a Moms weekend cruise every other year and have a great time and have never gained weight from one. I truly don't care for the food on the ship. Am I crazy? My weakness is sugar, plain and simple. The desserts are really not worth the calories compared to some fine and scrumptious desserts I've eaten, so I just…
  • Hellloooo Ladies!!!! It's Wednesday, which means my week is half over! Yippee!!! Welcome to all of the new gals. Some quick thoughts about several posts I've read tonight re those having trouble actually losing weight and they are "doing all the right things," which as we know, (I know), means squat: 1) Be sure to eat…
  • Woke up with a plan to work longer hours through Thursday since there is a good possibility I'd be taking Friday off to travel halfway between here and SoCal to hook up with my LLVBFF. Yep, been besties since 5th grade! We settled on a spa by the beach. She's in SoCal to care for her mother after a fall that left her with…
  • Woke up on the wrong side of the bed. After being irritated at everything today, I told the office I needed a time-out and promptly took myself on a 3-mile jaunt around the hood. Last week I would've hit Starbucks for a coffee and maybe a treat. Sticking to my February goals.... less coffee! Abstain? For me? Some things…
  • Good morning MyFitnessPal ladies! (Said in Robin Williams' good morning vietnam's voice.) I'm not sure I'll ever remember everyone's names and posts unless I take notes! I do,however, smile, frown, recognize and feel each of your sentiments. The decluttering would have had me drinking martinis, yes plural, by the 2d room!…
  • Hi Ladies! Have some down time while my daughters team is reffing the final match of the weekend. Players and families are all exhausted! My daughter was awesome.... Until the last match.... I'm quite biased. :) Me, I'm a little more tired than the players.... hey! I'm 50, they are 16! Ran 4 miles today at 12:46 pace!!!!…
  • Ladies- ladies - ladies..... what a day! I think I'm too tired to read all posts, but wanted to wish everyone a great Feb! Crabby hubs made for a trying day. Our team did 50/50 at the tournament today, and I did ok with food and steps. Of course, it's late and we still haven't eaten. Team choice to order in: pasta. I'm…
  • Sally, just realized that you wrote about meeting your goal!!!! That is quite a hip hip hooray!!!! I'm inspired! Got frustrated at the office today so I grabbed my clerk and made her do a brisk 2 mile walk with me. Just what the doctor ordered! Then, because we were no longer in the mood to work, we put on music and danced…
  • Exermom - I have the DVD for the rebounder but haven't done it yet! I just graduated from the bigger rebounder to a bit smaller one. The Lazy Dog is a restaurant/bar and it is a chain. I find the food to be quite good albeit a large menu!
  • Hi Diana - as an FYI, I'm still not jogging the entire miles yet. Even though I've surpassed the 12 week program, I still do the combo walk/jog. In fact, I think I've only ran a full mile twice and the pace was an awesome 12:46 and 11:32. I try to combine my route to include incline and decline. Flat streets are soooo…
  • I love reading all of these posts! Love dancing, but now I just usually dance in circles in my house trying to get my steps done for the day, or after a shower, still naked and trying to convince myself that I'm lookin' good! :p Used to have a horse, and miss that part of my life greatly! I've promised myself that once my…
  • GodMomKim - West side, you? I love, love, love Dublin!!!! Moved here in summer, 2008 and so glad I did. Best "village" ever! Red
  • Me either, and after having a salad for lunch I'm sooooo ready! I refuse to cook on the days that the housekeeper comes. My daughter knows it. My hubs knows it! And I choose! Yes, I'm spoiled! I work the extra hours to pay for those lovely ladies and they are worth every penny! <3 <3 So it's out to dinner tonight. I…
  • I opened the fridge this morning and saw two mini Pies the hubs bought when he apparently bought the salmon for last night's dinner. Hmmm, how loud can you scream saboteur!!!!??? Is that even a word? Welcome to the newbies! I have now more friends than ever! We can be sisters in health together! Today was boob bruising…
  • Only half of what I wrote posted! Now I'm too spent to remember what it was, but it was funny. That much I remember. Tried the chili garlic glazed salmon for dinner tonight. Success, the family loved it! Nite all. Red
  • Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! Dog Lady: I go to a shoe store for runners. Since I was professionally fit, my feet are quite happy! My favs are Asics for over 6 miles and Saucony for shorter distance. Both are expected to last approximately 400 miles. I do find that I prefer a half size bigger and because my weight…
  • Hi Ladies! New to this discussion group, not new to MFP. Last year in mid March, I decided it was time to get serious about my health. Sure, I've always been serious, but my attention was easily swayed to the finer things in life. A close friend was diagnosed with breast cancer, and being supportive, and seeing what a…
  • I have such a similar story, and even similar height/weight. I'm only down 4 in 2 weeks of watching my diet and exercise. I'm pushing myself to get in 3-4 days of circuit training as well as 10K steps a day. It's working. Although I've lost only 4 lbs, I feel like I've lost inches! You are doing great!!!!! BillieJean
  • What an inspiration! You look great!
  • You give me great inspiration! A size 6 at 140'ish pounds??? I was a size 12 at 170, so to know I could get that great when my goal is really 145/150.... yes!!!!
  • You look great!!!!! Keep up the awesome work! Great inspiration!
  • Update: At my daughter's physical, the forms she was asked to complete included several questions regarding her eating habits, including when she eats, what she eats, how much she eats, and right down to the nutritional questions too. My daughter had to fill these forms out, and she was pretty honest about it. Her doctor…
  • You look simply marvelous!!!!! A great journey and what a way to share! Love the pics!
  • Love your before and after pics!!!! What an inspirational story! Two of my sister's chose stomach surgery over losing weight naturally because it was so hard for them to do on their own. To see someone that has done it the old-fashioned way, is truly amazing! I can only imagine how much more healthier you are than the side…
  • I know the definition is not me! ; )) Actually, my waist will never be 9-11 inches than my bust/hips since I'm not an hourglass figure. I sure wish though! P.S. I love your profile pic!
