No. Anything your body doesn't use it will dispose of in your waste. How much protein you need is based on your goals, but you're free not to worry about too much.

I use the same thing for all my P90X workouts, which is "Calisthenics (pushups, sit-ups), vigorous effort" and then just put in the time of the workout. Today I did shoulders/arms and that is definitely much more of just a weight-lifting workout, but I'm not TOO particular about it.
