Hi Sarah! I use a heart rate monitor that's an app on my iphone . . .best part is, it's FREE. I'm sure there are plenty of higher quality, but this seems to work just fine. Big 5 Sporting Goods has the wrist watch kind for right about $100 if you prefer that style. Good luck! Michelle
