Is it your stomach that is hungry or your mouth?? Mouth indicates that it is your head trying to fool you into previous bad eating habits. I suspect that none of us got here by listening to our stomachs......... they rarely get a chance to be empty!!

I do it I don't enjoy it but I do enjoy the way it effects my weight & measurements so...... I keep at it!! Just because we do not feel right does not necessarily mean we follow our feelings!!

I have come to realise that I do not often eat because I am hungry!! because it is time to eat, because it is there, because I am with people who are eating - lots of all that but hunger, not really. If we listen to how we feel & follow our feelings we would never get out of bed!!

Yes yes & yes!! It is life changing but it settles down eventually!

I seemed to vomit some of each meal forever but it settled eventually! First I found out I was lactose intolerant & it helped to cut out the lactose. Then it was a case of sticking with certain foods that seemed to be ok & adding in others slowly. It worked out eventually but never been so sick in my life.....!!

They would not give you a diet to follow if it was not necessary!! There are good reasons for it & it is safe.

I was back to swimming after 2 weeks but struggled to get dressed due to the middle being sore!! I wish I had done more exercise after my op but was not very stable with MS so missed on some good weight loss there!!

Add in one new thing at a time so that most of the time you are enjoying what you eat. Learn to cook it how you like to eat it & use herbs & spices to pep it up. Once upon a time we learnt how to like pizza so we can do it!!

Ever tried counselling to look at how you got where you are? I did this & it is making sticking to healthy eating & exercise a whole lot easier!!

Me too no regrets! However, I would also say that you need to get your head around why you eat the way you do & understand that you will not be able to live the same way!! My training as a counsellor & need to address my own issues of life coincided with my decision to have surgery. It has to be her decision & nobody…

and happy with it!! My experience of others in my life is that they do not have my interests at heart - sad but true!! I do this for me & have plenty of encouragement from friends but no sabotage from partners & parents....... funny how it is working this time!!
