I completely understand. When I started my weight loss journey at the beginning of 2011, I had about 160lbs to lose. I had so many emotions come over me when I saw the scale. First off, I couldn't believe that I was that big and then I started thinking about how much I had to lose. I had to lose an overweight person. I…

I had well over that when I started and now I have about eighty to lose to reach my goal weight. You can do it!! We all can. One day at a time.

As soon as I read the title of this post, the first thought I had was "My Girl". I saw that in the movie theater when it first came out and bawled then and still bawl to this day.

Like someone said before, its all about personal choice. I had a gym membership for two years and barely used it. I didn't like that the swimming pool was constantly being used for other things (like classes and the high school swim team practice) so free swimming was out of the question, I didn't like the fact I couldn't…

I have pics of myself around of me at my heaviest around my house and that keeps me motivated to keep going.

I had about 160 lbs to lose when I started my journey and I am halfway there. Good luck to you!

It sounds like to me that his behavior towards your weight is just a way to justify his cheating on you and leaving you. Since he put the blame on you, it allows him not to have to feel any guilt. You deserve better. I would say this is a fresh start to your life. Take this opportunity to work on you. Get healthy, go to…

I started out with almost 160 lbs to lose and now I have about 80 left to reach my goal weight. I do have a long way to go but I keep going. I have taken it slow (it took a little over a year to lose those 80lbs) but I am proud of that and plan on reaching my goal even if it takes 5 more years. One day at a time.

I think you can find food scales pretty cheap so that would be your best bet to judge

I have been watching this show for years and have read several articles on it as well and the reason why these contestants drop this extreme amount of weight is because they work out 6 to 8 hours a day hard and also have a very strict diet. They burn several pounds a day just in exercise and also the deficit in their…

I don't have a "cheat day" because I learned that depriving myself of any of the foods I love only caused me to quit eating healthy all together. I cook a lot at home and have learned how to make my favorite foods a lot healthier for me so I don't feel like I am missing out. When I do go out to eat, I try and eat a healthy…

You have to do what you think is best for you. I decided from day 1 that I would not cut any food out completely. I had done this multiple times in the past with little to no long term success. I do however try to cook them a little differently. I still make mashed potatoes but I use little to no butter. I use a potato and…

You are on your way and 29 isn't the end of the world. I have several friends who didn't start having children until their 30s so you still have some time. I would take more time to focus on your weight loss. You certainly don't want to start your pregnancy with these issues especially with diabetes. This could cause a…

I usually walk during my time. I get really bad cramps and my back hurts very bad so doing anything that requires me to jump around or move around too much is out of the question. I walk at whatever pace I can but for a longer amount of time. I figured even I burn 300 calories that day, its better than nothing.

Way to go.

I get online and play games. I keep water beside me and if I want something I take a drink of that. An hour goes by and I forget all about the snacking.

-I actually have definition in my face. Before there was so much fat around my face that it was hard to see my jawline. -I feel better -I love sweating. I know that may sound weird but if I don't sweat during a workout, I don't feel like I have accomplished anything and will work out again.

You look wonderful. Keep it up.

You look great. Congratulations on your success.

I had an injury awhile ago after I had already lost a bunch of weight and when i got hurt, I just let myself go. I think this is the first step in the right direction. We don't realize how many calories a day we consume just by snacking. Good luck.

Good luck!

I use extra virgin olive oil but in small doses.

Ryan Reynolds or Jake Gyllenhol (not sure if that is how his name is spelled)

I have been overweight as long as I can remember. I think I used food as a coping mechanism. We moved a lot when I was growing up (I went to six different elementary schools) and it was hard making long lasting friends. Food was my best friend. I have continued to keep people at arms length and used food as my primary…

That made me laugh. I am the same way though but I at least pull in the driveway first. lol

I haven't been to any of those restaurants but Ruby Tuesdays but the thing I love is that it has several meals and gives you the calorie content. I love their chicken and usually get mashed cauliflower and steam veggies on the side. I don't feel guilty either after I eat it because its under 500 calories for the entire…
