  • I've been home sick with 2 sick kids, so I missed BOTH my runs this week. I'm going totally stir crazy. I did get to do my pilates DVD today, so at least I got moving. Going to try and get a run in on Sunday if my hubby gets home from work in time.

  • I'v decided to officially register for the OC half marathon. It isn't until May, but I want to build up a solid running routine to prepare myself for the training program will start in January. I've wanted to run a half marathon for about a year ad a half,so it feels good to finally buckle down an register!

  • I haven't eaten meat in 15 years! Usually the vegetarian foods at restaurants are healthier. Boca burders are great, I have one for lunch almost every day. My typical lunch is a boga burger on a sandwich thin, with hummus avocado and tomato. about 400 calories and super filling!

  • Heather- When I started running I did the cuch to 5k program. It starts off with very reasonable walk/run intervals, and you work your way up to running. I think it is a grat way to start, and you'll notice that somewhere along the road, you go from dreading your runs, to wishing you could keep going, or run more often!

  • I use the ipod on my iPhone, and I just put it on speaker, so I don't deal with earplugs at all. I wear my iPhone on my armband, and put it in upsideown (so the speakers are aimed toward my head.) This has worked out really well for me.... just something to try if you have that option on your mp3 player.
