Yum! Saving this!

5 years. Met the love of my life a month ago so... never again :)
-
HEL-lo. Well done.

LOL at all these people overriding the advice of a trained medical professional with years and years of licensed experience. I don't eat back my exercise calories. I've lost 80 lbs and kept it off for two years. So. Listen to the damn professional, or find another MD's opinion. Don't listen to the forum.

Not in response to the calories portion (because really, you'll hear arguments from both sides) but about the 30DS. I've noticed a LOT of people stop losing when they start 30DS (myself included). This does a lot of strength and muscle development and I'd encourage you to start taking your measurements if you haven't.…

Hello! Congrats on starting the program! I was around 220lbs when I started jogging and ran my first half marathon at 200lbs so us big girls can certainly do it too! The stress on your knees is your body getting used to an exercise it hasn't had to deal with first. The inflammation is best reduced by icing! I work in a…

Why names? How boring. You want to honor someone, create some beautiful art that means something. Make it personal, and special. What's in a name?

I love when someone I've known casually out and about at the bars walks right past me, checking me out like I was a new piece of meat to scam on. Then I see the flash of familiarity, they back up a few steps, and I get the "Holy crap! Is that you?! You look great!" hahahaha it's like being a new person. I get to reinvent…

I think this is why people stay obese for so long. The lies you tell yourself to prevent accepting the truth - you're unhealthy. I had NO idea how large I had gotten. Why having to buy size 22 pants didn't send a red flag is beyond me. But pictures and not being able to walk up stairs without feeling winded are what kick…

As the Borderlands addict I am, I'm going for Mad Moxxi, and my roommate will be Claptrap :)
-
I've got about 25 to go, too. Getting impatient!
-
I WAS 55 lbs over when I had it issued (you'd think they would've questioned that?), now I'm 25 lbs under :D
-
Yes. And I'm tall (5'9"), and I've kept it off 1.5 years. And I'm never starving. So... I mean, people can say otherwise but if you don't eat crap, you'll be fine. Veggies, vitamins, meats and lots of water and you'll be full, happy, and energized all day.

There are studies that suggest a 16 hour daily fast helps with weight loss. This would fall into the time you eat. Other than that, or acid reflux, it doesn't matter when you eat. Try different things and do what works for you.
-
I used to spend around $400-$500 a month. Now I eat less, and waste less, and shop more, going once a week or so and spending around $40 each time. :)
-
Gorgeous! Well done! And I love your style, too :)

Don't underestimate the power of walking.

She's considering lying to physicians and faking tests to qualify for surgery. This is someone that's making excuses. We're not talking about you, or anyone else. ETA: "there are those who have maintained a healthy weight through controlling food and getting in exercise" -this is my point.
-
You know what surgery does for you? Forces you to eat cleaner and in small quantities with mild exercise or you get sick. You know what losing weight naturally is? Eating cleaner and in small quantities with exercise lest you get fat. I mean. It seems like a no-brainer. It's not magic. Save yourself the recovery, expense,…

Most definitely. The nice thing is, you can change the intensity of your workout up by simply moving between compact wet sand and the soft dry sand. Watching your footing is a little more of an effort than street runs but worth it in my opinion :)
-
I love this website and people like you. That work hard, and are dedicated, and completely transform. Thanks for the motivation and inspiration!
-
Barefoot beach running is my thing, but not available to everyone. Makes working out feel like a mini vacation, love it.
-
Cook more fresh foods, eat cleaner, take time to prepare things beforehand so your sodium intake isn't out of control. Eat less sugar. Make less excuses. Your hard work at the gym will be for nothing if you don't put the right fuel in. Good luck! :)

Saving these ideas for later!

Mine went from a 42DD to a 36D. So I mostly lost back/torso fat I guess. But they're definitely smaller AND lower. I don't know if that's age or... Upper body toning (shoulders/pecs) helps a ton with keeping them firm/perky, though!
-
Chicken breasts Plain Greek yogurt Cheese (cottage/string) Eggs Tuna Turkey +veggies This is the majority of my diet :)
-
Oh goodness. I have to try this.
-
This is awesome to see! We started out about the same size, and have around the same goal... I cannot wait to be where you're at. Congratulations!
-
I love mine, but fair warning, they took over a year to heal. And they bleed, crust, puss, and smell during that process. If you can handle that, do it. Also, I prefer bars over hoops. And shields are kind of badass for random fun nights :D

As a pure weight-loss tool, you'll need to do more. However, it definitely tones. I consistently lose lbs from my running routine, but when I did a week of 30DS I dropped a dress size, not more weight. Everything tightens up. So I'd say it's great for toning :)
