Fruit and vegetables. Grab an apple, banana, celery, peanut butter, flat bread. make a peanut butter and banana flatbread sandwich have an apple and celery too. Or if you want some dairy have a cheese stick. Easy, quick and not terrible for you.

NET. You want to ALWAYS meet the 1500 NET calorie amount. You could be causing damage to your body if you only eat 1500 gross calories and work out enough to burn even 200 calories each day.

Running store or if you don't have one near there is a guide on Runner's World website. That is what I did my second half marathon! It really did helped me. I was using Nike's and switched to Mizuno's. My knees were happy campers after that! Good luck on your half! I love that distance! It will always be my favorite!

My mom told me I need new pants because the ones I am wearing now are too big. But I can't bring myself to buy any because I know I have more to lose. I might have to go to a seamstress and get 3-4 pairs altered. That is much cheaper than buying new.

If you are questioning if you should quit maybe you aren't where you want to be. I would look at lifting.
