Upon further review, you seem to be eating a lot of crackers and potato chips! Where are the fruits and veggies? What's your sodium intake? How much water are you drinking? Are you carefully measuring everything? Are there any missing "nibbles"?

You might be eating too few calories. Also, for the few calories you are eating, you're still drinking a bit of them. Therefore, your body is likely not getting enough proper fuel.

You learn something new every day. :) Thank you!

Really? She doesn't know your financial situation. Many people who come on these forums have spent $ to lose weight some how or another (whether it be a gym membership, workout clothes, vitamins, healthier foods, etc). In light of those expenses, $18 for a food scale (I checked walmart.com) is an easy choice as most of us…

I use the scale for all of my measuring, liquid included. For example, for breakfast I have a bowl of cereal. I put the bowl on the scale, zero it out, and pour 53 grams (or whatever serving size it is). I then zero it out again and switch to ounces and pour my milk. Voila, breakfast is measured out. It's accurate, and I…

Oh, I love junk, too! (Kind of how I got here in the first place) But yummy non-junk things are making my world a brighter and lighter place. But there's always a place for junk - just have to moderate it. :)

What does this consist of? My dh would love it - he's looking for some variety.

I use my food scale in lieu of a measuring cup. Fewer dishes to wash at the end of the day lol. And what CDFlinn said. If your calorie goal is 1200, then yes you should try to eat that food back if you're exercising.

Are you drinking enough water? Yesterday you logged 4 cups. A cup of water before every meal /snack is a good guideline. I'm not a big water drinker, so I get my water bottle filled with ice and then water. The colder the water is, the easier it is for me to drink. Also, you've mentioned a lot of late-night hunger and…

Wow, great job! You should be very proud of yourself!

I wanted to do one of those color runs! They have a different one here for this weekend, but with vacations this summer I knew I wouldn't be able to graduate this time. I'm jealous! Have fun!!! I'll have to hold out until the next time it comes to the area. :)

Completed W5D2 this morning. Felt GREAT. In fact, during the break, I thought to myself "I'm ready to run again" so I started 2 minutes early to help gear up for w5d3. I've been doing my runs outside for the past 2 weeks because my dad is in town. Hated outside at first but really starting to adjust!

I haven't (but am fully on planning on doing so), but I will be running a 5K on Oct 26. I'm halfway through week 5, so I have a couple of extra weeks left to either improve my distance or improve my time. The furthest I've ever gotten on this program was week 2, so this is huge for me. And also, I've only run a 5K once (I…

I've been dreading W5D3 for over a week now. Dreading!!! But today I did W5D2. I completed 8 minutes and thought "That wasn't so bad!". So while I was on the 5 minute walking in-between, I felt really good. In fact, to prepare myself for D3 I decided to start running 2 minutes early. So I did 10 minutes on my second run,…

I'm 239 (at 5'9"), and on week 4 of Couch to 5k. Like others have said, I run at a speed comfortable for me...which is between 4.2 and 4.3 mph. It is still a challenge to complete each day. (Five minute runs are my longest interval at the moment. ugh.). I'm a snail, but I'm running. Work on the duration, then work on the…

Yesterday I did W4D2. Did it around the neighborhood and not the treadmill and it was BRUTAL. According to GPS, I went faster than treadmill, but didn't feel like it.

Mine is open. I don't avoid any foods (so don't judge last nights Dr Pepper!!!!!!!:drinker: ), but I try to keep it rounded for the most part. Well - I DO avoid artificial sweeteners. But for reasons other than weight loss.

Today is going to be Week 3, Day 3. Have been doing most of the workouts on the treadmill, but since the Y is closed today I'm going to have to do it outside. (Last 2 of 3 workouts have been outside due to being on vacation). Personally, I prefer the treadmill because I'm forcing myself to run until it's time to lower the…

Eventually, I would like to do a 5K. I always thought I wanted to do that because that's what people say. However, on week 2 I've found that I actually like running. I used to hate running, but it's only because I thought I was going to die whenever I did it. Yesterday at the end of my couch to 5K I ran a little bit…

THANK YOU for that AMAZING piece of encouragement. [/sarcasm] *rolls eyes* Seriously, why did you come in here?

Thank you. I lost the first 10 lbs though diet alone. (Officially, anyway - lost a little more than than before I officially started) I know diet is 90% of the equation. However, I wanted my energy back. I was tired of still being in post-partum sleep-deprived state. I'm still getting the same amount of sleep as before my…

What's your nutrition like? Are you eating enough? Also, how are your clothes fitting? If the scale is not moving and the clothes are, it could be muscle gaining going on (muscle has less mass per lb than fat). If your nutrition is okay, and the scale is not moving, then the best thing to do is to keep moving and bump up…

Probably revolutionary because we're now watching our weight a lot more closely. I mean, I know and have always known that I get bloated every month, but I wasn't stepping on the scale to see how the number actually fluctuates. But yeah, in the same boat as the others here. Scale has only minimally budged (up .5 lb) and…

Thanks, that is good to know. (What both of you said). Our gym is equipped with Fitlinxx machines, which is nice because it remembers your weights and settings, registers your (pre-programmed) range of motion, and reps. It will be good to give me direction for starting. And JenMc, I often bench my little ones at home! (32…

I'm looking for friends as well. :) I'm on week 6 of my journey back to being fitter. I had a beautiful baby girl 2 months ago and have been slowly reintroducing myself to the healthy lifestyle. I also have a 2 year old boy and a 12 year old stepdaughter. Life is busy, but God is good! I'd love to have some friends on…

Woohoo! I'm in and I'm done. :) (Multi-tasked while folding laundry)

This. My favorite used to be the taco salad (with shell!).Although I'd try to skip the beans because even "before" that was a lot of food for me. Nowadays I vary it up and keep it under 500 cals. The latest trend seems to be the chicken burrito fresco style and a cool ranch taco.

Last weekend we went to FIL's house for a cookout. Burgers dogs, etc. I knew this in advance so I prepared myself mentally. I had one burger, and skipped on the mayo-laden sides. I ate only what I thought would be worth the calories, and then I even controlled that. FIL's wife insisted on sending leftovers home (she…
