So true. I'm glad Cold War cut back on that a bit. I'm also glad Clara got a bit of a wake up call that life with the Doctor is dangerous, that people die. I think Rings of Akhaten all seemed like a dream to her.
-
Um, definitely thought this was the best one of season 7B so far. Clara is actually gaining some clarity and moving away from treating it all like some sort of dream like she did through the Rings of Akhaten.

I think the 507 comment was a joke to suggest that he can regenerate however many time he bloody well wants to. If the show is good to continue, they will do what Moffatt does best. Make something up. This 13 lives rule that people keep touting is just silly. I mean, they brought the Master back from actually being dead…

Exactly. I think you all are underestimating the number of people on this site who grew up exactly like that. It sucks, but when fat kids grow up, we have to take control to undo the damage our parents raised us with. So they're setting him up for failure, but that doesn't mean he won't eventually overcome.

The nice thing about the pay-per-show streaming, even though it can get pricey if you get a lot of shows, is they have a lot of stuff the next day. I don't have BBC America so that's how I watch Doctor Who. All the AMC shows are up the next day too. ETA: I have the Amazon streaming app on my blu-ray player, so I can watch…

I don't have Prime, but I'll do Amazon's pay-per-show a lot. You can stream it and then, if you want to download it later, you can.

Me! Me! I keep it simple. I love either a bag of Bigelow Constant Comment or Twining's Blackcurrant Breeze. A nice Earl Grey Green is lovely also.

I didn't mean to imply a different species. But it's reasonable to think that a species would develop new abilities over time. The episodes did take place 3,000 years apart and on different worlds. Anyway, I just like to imagine that is the excuse Moffatt would give if questioned. His philosophy is basically to do what he…

It most likely was a different group of angels. The ones in the Byzantium had been hibernating in a cave on an alien planet for hundreds if not thousands or tens of thousands of years. They easily could have evolved a different ability from that small group on earth. The book they found on that planet was written by…

It was my favorite Doctor speech by far! He revealed so much of his soul. He's never really done that before. It cost him.
-
His speech to Mary Gallel was in direct constrast with Clara. Mary (and everyone else) is utterly unique in the universe. Clara repeats.
-
But they can also basically explain away any changes by saying it was a different group of angels, or that they evolved, or that something about them changed because their timeline changed. Also, I just watched Blink for like the 4th time, and I don't remember them ever showing a picture of an angel? The biggest continuity…

There are lots of instances in the older series where the Doctor was even more incapacitated than that after regenerating, even having memory loss lasting days a couple of times. His health post-regeneration has a lot to do with how extreme his "death" was and what he consumes to help with recovery after. Tennant explains…

I REALLY enjoyed it. I thought it was a really creative idea, and I adored his speech. I still have mixed feelings on this season's "Every episode is EPIC. EPIC, I say! It must be EPIC!" attitude. Every episode can't be HUGE like they've been trying to make it. Also, the Doctor dropped Clara back at home at the end. Is…

True. I packed a PB&J for lunch at work today but ended up saving it for tomorrow as I went out with a friend. TNP has a pet water buffalo.

I miss the cats too!

I thought it was interesting that they showed how she got her mad computer hacking skills that she used in Asylum of the Daleks. But how does she retain that knowledge if she doesn't retain memories of her previous incarnations? Also, will any of the Claras ever live past age 30?
