... we just saw McGann regenerate into Hurt, who regenerates into Eccleston, then Tennant, then Smith, then Capaldi. I hope they bring back River with Capaldi, because that would be amazing and awesome and perfect. But somehow I think McGann lost his chance

Exactly this. I really want to listen to his audio adventures now. He's one of my favorite Doctors. Like top 3.

omg omg omg I have been freaking out over it like all day! I LOVE Paul McGann and I've been wanting him to return forever! I'm so glad he got to! And without the stupid wig!

I think a test every few years might be a good idea, rather than age. Some people in their '70s should probably stop driving, and some people in their '90s are still good drivers.

Hanson. So much Hanson.

Finale thoughts? I can't even... I just...

I may be a just general geek, but I have never gotten super into Star Wars.

A. I reccommend you become a Whovian ASAP. B. It's basically like a technological magic wand that doesn't work on wood.

A hot cup of tea. Very de-stressing.
-
No. But I'm sure it affects it.

Very good observations. I second this, and everything OP said. Yes, each individual has control over what s/he chooses to eat and do, but isn't it messed up how we have to fight against our culture to be healthy? The wage observations are also important, but could go off into a whole other topic...

Also nice!

Proper response: "It's okay sweetie, we all hate you too."

I've added so many nerdy t-shirts to my collection for working out in! Gryffindor PRIDE. Geddit? 'Cause we're lions? Bahaha. RUMBLEROAR!

This makes me want to go listen to the audiobooks.

By the time he takes the reigns he will be 56. That will make him the oldest Doctor ever to start in the role. Which is so strange, because he easily looks 10 years younger than Hartnell or Pertwee did in their times.

I started realizing that the headaches I was getting every day were in fact not from sleeping too little, but from Diet Coke. I tried not drinking it for a few days, and no headaches! That did it for me.

Exact quote from The Doctor's Wife: "See that snake. The mark of The Corsair. Fantastic bloke. He had that snake as a tattoo in every regeneration. Didn't feel like himself unless he had that tattoo. Or herself a couple of times. Oo hoo! She was a bad girl!"

Also a vampire ghost from another dimension.

Congrats!

There are just SO MANY series. I've picked a few to get the discs of on Netflix hoping they'll be better than most of the streaming ones. I do love me some Pertwee though. My favorite classic Doc.

My only issue with it being the metacrisis Doctor is that when he is with 11, that is not his future. I love the idea of the exact same man living it twice, like has been done in the other multi-Doc episodes. I would love to catch up with metacrisis Ten and Rose, but I also really want that look on Eleven's face when he…

Hey, so did I! Circuit City was definitely way better than Chick-Fil-A or Walmart where I also worked in high school and college *shudder* Thank freaking goodness I finally graduated and got a real job.
-
Oh my god I almost died.
-
I completely agree, that would have made the whole episode so much better. The beginning WAS good, I loved the whole Scooby Doo scene with the Doctor and Rose.

I got some great compression pants at Old Navy. I'm ususally a 3X too, but their 2X in the store fit me. They also have plus sizes online, so you could order them from the website.
-
Completely agree. But I just couldn't stop watching. Trust me, it gets even more :ohwell: as time goes on... ETA: Also, watched Spring Breakers last night. Good one, but definitely a ... wtf just happened?? one. James Franco and the guns :indifferent:

I saw one of those "Still a better love story than Twilight" with the guy and his girlfriend after she was just a face on a slab of concrete and thought.... Nope. We've finally hit the limit of the "Still better than Twilight" meme.

You rang?

It was never AMAZING or anything... you kind of have to appreciate it for what it is, or not. Current Doctor Who is a top caliber sci-fi show, the classic series was always, I think, just sort of endearing. It's much more simplistic. I don't know. I enjoy a few episodes here and there, but I think since I never watched it…
