I am a different size in different stores, different size in the same store depending on the cut of the clothing. I do find that I am able to fit into a smaller size in the high end retail stores. Don't know if the clothes are made better or use more fabric.

It is most certainly the safest route to take, but if you do have to eat out or meals are catered for you my rule is to eat only half of whatever they've offered or brought me on the plate. Save the rest for another meal or share. The MAIN problem with restaurants...in my opinion is that over the years the have practically…

I prefer to slice them and squeeze some lemon or lime juice on them and carry the ziploc bag around so I have a healthy snack while on the go!

With lots of good answers I hope mine helps. I went to a website...scooby's workshop and calculated my BMR and TDEE for my current weight, goal weight, and a couple milestone weights in between so I have some numbers to go by. So currently my daily calories are set to the TDEE intake of my GOAL WEIGHT @ 150 pounds. I am…

You really have to look inside because the food is not the issue. I have a fear of being viewed as sexy and as much weight as I have lost and more I want to lose I still have to deal with that fear. For me the compulsive eating is all about my emotions not hunger, and trying to fill a void. I just try and do something fun…

Not At All!! I have a fun-run 5K planned for the morning. My mom and I divided the sides list between us so I'm making three and a dessert and so is she. My bro is bringing the honey baked ham, and we are going to have a good time enjoying each other's company. That's what the day has become for us, not about eating until…

I like how you think! I might log what I 'plan' to eat first thing that morning. I am doing a 5K race that day also. So I will pre-plan to not go over my daily calorie goal on the thanksgiving meal, and save my morning exercise calories for desserts.

Way to go! Those are my favorite NSV's...clothes! I never thought I liked to shop until I was able to wear non-plus sized clothing and find clothes in my size in some of the trendier clothing stores.

At 5 feet 5 inches tall I lost over 100 pounds and got all the way down to 164 pounds. According to BMI standards that was overweight for my height! I increased my calories and got slack with logging and gained back 20 pounds, currently around 185 pounds. According to BMI standards that is obese for my height. I was not…

I haven't personally deleted anyone, I was deleted by one person that I noticed after not seeing her on my news feed for about a week. I think I commented on something she posted or maybe on her diary that she didn't like or she found my posts annoying. Everyone has thier reasons, I don't know what mine are yet!

Not to add to the confusion but I currently eat the TDEE of a person my height weighing 150 pounds. I do not currently weigh this, currently at 175 pounds and higher but as close as I am to my goal this was the best solution and made the most sense to me. I do not eat back exercise calories. Check out scooby's workshop for…

I had less of a problem when I paid less attention to the exercise calories and eating them back. I have my calorie goal set at a certain amount, 1753, and I enter my exercise here on MFP and I may adjust it to what my HRM says if I even wear it. I exercise max an hour and a medium intensity. I try to eat 1753 calories a…

Not to compare but I work in a male dominated office, my dad works here also, sometimes he's my 'boss' because what I do supports what he does. Guess what?? Sometimes I have to 'stand up' to my dad and require respectful talk and 'allow' him to treat me like an adult. If we are all adults, professionals in the workplace…

Gap Body most recently with my weight loss. They have decent sales and the undies are cute and seem well made. I don't usually match bras and panties, it is usually whatever is clean and doesn't show lines, etc. I do agree that I strut a little more when I feel sexy, don't know if undies are 100 percent of the credit.…

If I'm hungry I eat, and I love that exercise gives me some cushion. I don't however make a point of eating them back. My calories however are set at maintanence level around 1700 calories a day. That's enough to keep me moving, energized, and able to do strong workouts and see health and strength improvements.
-
Kudos! Feels great doesn't it?
-
Find your maintainence calories and slowly increase your calories consumed to that maintenance number while maintaining the same level of exercise. Once you are to that point you no longer need to eat exercise calories back. Scooby's workshop is a good website to do these calculations.

Wasn't planning on it but I'll do it if you will!!

very inspiring story...our success can't be counted in pounds only, quality of life and enjoying that life counts for something also! Keep up the good work.

An apple and a smear of peanut butter, gets me everytime!

To increase or not to increase...that is not the 'real' question. In my humble opinion, the real question is can I maintain what I am doing for the long haul of 'lifestyle change'. Yes lowering your calories or increasing exercise so you are at a daily calorie deficit is the optimum way to lose, but you have to also think…
-
Your post isn't clear but I will attempt to help When you weigh less...you have less to lose. So your calorie intake isn't increasing, your calorie deficit is decreasing as you head toward maintainence calories. Hope this is simple but helps you.

Congrats! Feels good!

Simple answer...NO.

Happy to have a new MFP friend! I love to lend support.
