  • 3 net carbs...hmm....what about the rest? Fat, cals, protein?
  • Congrats on your success so far! It's a big first step! I think that you being able to satisfy your craving but eating what you want in moderation is great. I do something similar...I love chocolate, so I put it into my calories when I want it. But I eat dark chocolate so it is a little better and it helps (I know it is…
  • I hve heard that the UK has great larping! I guess over there you guys get a lot more into it and go all out? I have seen pics and it looks freaking awesome! Have fun!
  • I would totally recommend to anyone to try LARPing. Especially NERO, even if you are shy at NERO you can always find a group to hang out with. At NERO I have seen people transformed from shy people that wouldn't even look you in the eyes at school become the center of attention (gladly) and fight like a boss. It's also…
  • Funny! No, I am not talking about "those fantasies"! And at NERO we have lightning bolts too. Kind of corny I know, but there is an incant for it and everything. "I call forth lightning bolt 10!"
  • No LARPers on MFP at all?
  • What do they make it out of to be 0 fat?
  • Try to look for ones that have drawstrings in them? That way they stay up on the waist but can be bigger on the thighs
  • Anyone???
  • Anything that gets you up and moving is going to help you lose weight. Its just whether you enjoy it or not to whether you will stick with it for it to help your lose weight. But Zumba does seem like it would be a lot of fun.
  • Yes, thank you. You are right. I was only thinking 2%, 1%, and skim. I completely forgot about whole. Duh! Yes, they should be weaned off formula to whole milk.
  • I have seen a few things on here about which milk is being given to kids. Children really shouldn't be drinking skim milk unless they are obese before they are t least 10 years. The younger they are the higher the fat percentage should be. Obviously at one year they should start to be switched to 2% from formula, slowly…
  • I am lucky. The first place I lose is in my thighs and waist, the first place I gain is my boobs. My boobs do get a tiny bit smaller but not too much. I lost 30 pounds last summer and went down less than one cup size. I do a thing where I do real well all week and eat what I please (within reason) 2 nights a week or so. I…
  • Check out this site it shows you that if you are not hungry you may be lacking some essential vitamins and what you can eat to replace those vitamins. This in turn will return your appetite. The entire chart they show is quite helpful. http://healthwellness808.com/?p=1180
  • smoothies, fruit, veggie sticks, fig bars, nuts, twizzlers (fun size), sugar free apple sauce, light wheat toast with a tablespoon of peanut butter, light wheat toast with honey and cinnamon.
  • 2 hershey kisses! The best!
  • If you are really craving things but can't fit late nights snacks into your food right now then try to go to bed (which I realise may be difficult with kids). I have found that it is really hard to be hungry when you are sleeping. Another alternative is you can chew gum, it helps curb cravings. hope this helps!
  • Woops! Sorry I guess the topic title was a little long there. It's supposed to be "Really cheap!" at the end. Lol, oh well.
  • Not until the middle of high school did I learn the pretzel weren't "prentzels." My brother, 19, and I, 15, (at the time) were talking about how we were so different from each other, literally opposites. I said, "Its like I'm the brains and you are the brawn." He replied with a tone, "Idiot. It's 'I'm the brains and you're…
  • I can't do it. As soon as I have a bite, my body craves more and I can't stop. My self-restraint is either at full blast (don't even touch it!) or not there at all. If I must I will try to use moderation but I have to stare at the nutrition label while doing so and keep thinking, "One bite=10 calories. Oh well that was two…
  • When I know I am going to be around "bad" foods, i chew gum. When it is on sale, get a ton of different flavors of gum. Start chewing before you start baking. As soon as it starts to get old, pop in a new piece. This definitely helps. Having something in your mouth already really keeps you from putting more in, especially…
  • Raw veggie sticks (whatever is on sale at the time, typically cucumbers, sweet bell peppers, baby carrots, or grapes). Half of a fold-it flatbread with 1 tablespoon peanut butter. A fruit (again, whatever is on sale, typically apples, oranges, bananas, pineapple or melon). Rice crackers (pay attention to serving size).…
  • I don't like most greek yogurt because it is thick and bitter. However, Chobani fuit-on-the-bottom is good. The fruit-on-the-bottom makes it sweeter and a little thinner. It is a bit higher in cals and sugar though. Plain is always a better way to go. Or you can take plain greek yogurt and add half a packet of splenda with…
  • Aspartame only causes side effects and problems when taken in abundance. By abundance I mean you would have to eat at least an entire bag of Splenda in one sitting per day for a long time. Never heard about it causing blindness but it can cause minor deformities in babies when eaten in abundance during pregnancy. It has to…
  • Sounds like you need to kick start your body again. Kinda like it got into a rut. Maybe try a 2 day cleanse or just take two days in one week to pretty much just exercise your butt off. This will probably get your body going again.
  • I would think it has something to do with metabolism. When you are younger you have a higher metabolism and can keeper a lower weight. When older, it would be next to impossible to keep some f the "younger" weights.
  • the only time i can work out is at night, somewhere between 7 and 9pm. After a workout i'm pretty jazzed for two hours so I can't even sit down to do homework, much less sleep.
