LMAO! Love it. And c'mon, rock is dead? Seriously, Rush (new album this year!), Radiohead, Foo Fighters, The Killers, The National...

Yep, I count them. If I didn't, I could easily eat twice as many as it felt like I ate. I could eat Wavy Lay's and salsa ALL DAY! But I don't.

I see this so much with my clients and friends - trying to stick to a restrictive diet so rarely works long-term and can leave you depressed or discouraged, sometimes even obsessed with food. Personally, I only track calories and try to keep my protein kinda high. I don't do low-carb, low-fat (although I avoid trans fats…

I'm 5'9" and have a small frame (wrist size just under 6") so any extra weight just sits on my belly. I'm currently 145 and love my weight. If I wanted some abs to really show though I'd have to be about 140, maybe a few pounds lower. For the summer I'm going to get down to 140, but after that, I'll leave it at 145.

Goal this month: 50 miles. Miles so far: 5. Thanks!!

I think it's way too long. Since your three main bullet points are pretty much about the same issue - don't discuss my weight with others, don't ask me about my weight, don't inspect my looks/clothes - then it could just be summed up as "Mom, I'm pretty sensitive in this area (would be good to take some responsibility) and…

Only 6 miles this week - family stuff going on and a trip to the lake. Didn't make my new goal of 75, I suppose it's best to just put me down for 50 next month then. Thanks!!

<I'm 5'9" and weigh 145. I'm really happy at this weight, but if I lost 5 more pounds I'd probably have killer abs because I carry my extra weight on my stomach.

That's awesome! Go girl!

First off, don't try to do this perfectly. Be prepared for a some trial and error. This is totally normal. As a personal trainer, one of the first questions I ask my clients when we discuss weight loss is "What do you know you're doing right now that's keeping you from losing weight?" It's not always a matter of throwing…

I have two very close friends that have both had tummy tucks. One friend had hers done about 6 months ago (after 3 kids), the other about 9 months ago (after 4 kids). They had both reached their goal weight but just had that excess skin. They are both thrilled with the results and would recommend it to any woman who feels…

I don't eat anything during a half marathon, but during my last marathon I had half a banana at around mile 10 and another half around mile 20 and it worked well for me (they were giving them out at the race, I didn't carry them around). It's hard to eat much while you run, but personally I don't mind the gels. Gu Gel is…

Nachos! I could eat them everyday...but I don't.

Yeah, I just noticed that too. Not cool. Seriously, I'm totally down with making a valid point that might fly in the face of long held beliefs, but when you say things like "Suck it up and stop being a baby," you totally lose me. It's just disrespectful. Communication 101. I'm a runner but I hate running on the first two…

I get what you're saying OP, that you don't have to be on a treadmill or lifting dumbbells to be exercising. I agree with that, but I guess for me it would depend on the activity. If I was moving furniture, scrubbing floors and sweating, then I would log it. But I'm not going to log vacuuming the living room or just doing…

Chocolate. I keep chocolate syrup to add to soy milk when I need a chocolate fix, but otherwise, I can't have it here. My husband gave me a big box of Russell Stover's dark chocolates for Valentine's and that thing was gone in three days - and it took every ounce of will power I had to drag it out to last that long.…

I can relate. Have done ballet and jazz, was on drill team for a year. As an adult I've done several ballet classes and a few belly dancing classes. Zumba is awesome, haven't done that in a while. I like to buy dance DVD's to do at home - I like Jennifer Galardi's stuff. I have her Hip Hop one and it's really fun. Not the…

Did the Warrior Dash in April, that was really fun. It was my first obstacle run. The last three years I've done the Firefly Run 5k - it's at night and everyone wears glow bracelets and stuff like that. They even give you LED light wristbands in your packet. It's just fun to run at night and to see all those colored lights…

Great ideas, thanks!

12.5 miles this week. Monthly total 41.5. Looks like I should have just kept my goal at 50 again. Clearly not ready for 75 this month.

The ONLY reason to read this book is for the sex, and even then it's kind of a let down. The main character is so naive, inexperienced and flat-out boring that it just falls short of the excitement it's supposed to convey. Honestly, the Twilight series was better written and that's saying A LOT! I liked Twilight, not loved…

I'm 5'9" and I've dated a few guys who are shorter than I am. I would have to say my preference is for guys my height or a bit taller, but if I met a great guy who was a couple of inches shorter and I was attracted to him then his height wouldn't stop me from dating him. My husband is exactly my height so when I wear heels…

Don't let an *kitten* stop you from running outdoors, girl. Don't give him that much power. Just keep doing your thing! Most people are really supportive and are probably thinking, "Damn, she's reminding me that I need to start working out too!"

The first ones that came to mind... "I don't want to grow up, I'm a Toys "R" Us kid. There's a million a toys at Toys R Us that I can play with..." and the Big Red gum commercials where everyone just made out for hours. I loved that commercial when I was little! "Say good-bye a little longer, make it last a little longer,…
