Sounds like that would be a good lead up to your unemployment, honestly. Seriously - pushing healthy eating down peoples throats...does not make them want to eat healthier. If she asks for advice, that's one thing ...but preachy is just annoying.

Okay, so what about the sugar beets that are genetically modified to be round up resistant? Why? So farmers can spray the living heck out of it with weed killer. So your food is covered in insane amounts of weed killer. Yeah that sounds safe.

Sadly, this menu probably does meet govt. guidelines. No junk what so ever - yeah right. WHole grain pop tarts count as a whole grain.

My husband marinades ours in freshly squeezed lime juice & cilantro - yum. Another good one is a brown sugar (it doesn't take much)... Or fresh made pesto... If you are having problems w/ it being too dry - odds are you are over cooking it.

For those using the progesterone cream - any particular kinds seem to work better? I was on depo-provera for my excess estrogen / extremely heavy periods....but since it was making me have migraines (with the added bonus of facial numbness), well, no thank you.

Since I have quit drinking diet coke - my sweet cravings have subsided, my achy joints - gone...and that's just the beginning. Simply because something is zero calorie does NOT mean that it doesn't create some sort of insulin response in the body - so in fact, it COULD be hindering your diet / weight loss efforts.

^^ This. I've also had it. 20 minutes, laproscopic. The worst part of the whole thing was the stupid nurse that gave me dry crackers to eat after surgery...when they give you meds PRIOR to surgery to make your mouth nice and DRY. Oh and peanut butter...she gave me peanut butter...which was on the "DO NOT EAT list" she also…

What does the kid being 6 have to do with it? Lots of kids that age have to make dietary choices - allergies, for example. Granted, I personally don't know why you would want to put what is basically sugar (and probably HFCS) on a banana, but that's just me....

From your profile, it looks like you like cardio. Do you do any strength training? Try shaking up your routine a bit - less cardio, more strength, and see what happens.

I have only gone down one size, sometimes 2 (depending on brand, of course). It's discouraging, definitely - but I am glad to see this thread and know that I am not alone. Not that I want to share the misery - but it helps realize "it's not just me" .

Why did you skip the broth? Sodium? Because the meat & veggies have been soaking in it - making them chock full o' sodium as well.... I'd just put the whole calorie amount in and let it go.

Sounds normal. Soreness should be expected when you are using muscles much more than you have in a while. It will pass.

One night at the gym (post 11 pm) there was a guy running on the treadmill wearing a gas mask. It was hard to keep up with my routine and keep one eye on HIM, so I cut it short that night.

You don't need to get your period. Depo stops periods in many women ...and well, I have 3 kids - so 30 months of pregnancy...and no periods from THAT...so no, you dont' NEED to get your period.

The joint pain probably comes from the aspartame. It does that to me, too.

What's so bad about coffee (just curious). It's natural. Mio contains ingredients you can't pronounce, and food coloring (which if you look up how they make food dyes...nasty!).

Also - looking at what you are saying - how much fat do you have in your diet? All the stuff you list is relatively low fat (With the exception of the nuts)...are you getting enough?
