They don't know if its contaminated so they can't label it. If wheat was grown one year, and then oats the next, it is possible that wheat would pop up in the oat field. It's just safer for you to buy the Certified gluten free.

I get most of my stuff from Pinterest and Facebook. I follow UDI's gluten free foods, Gluten Free Goddess, on Pinterest. And on Facebook I follow Gluten Free Recipes 24/7, and a couple of others. You can actually search on Facebook just for Gluten Free and you would be surprised at everything thats there.

I suck at this! I really really do. Despite what that counter says, I can't stay on my bloody diet! I get stuck for a week or two, and I'm like h*** with this and eat whatever I want. I don't want to fail, but it seems like its hardwired into me!!

Have you ever tried to raise a family of 6 on $300 worth of food stamps a month? Yes they can't afford much, but what they can afford is the high fat, processed crap, thats been shoved down our throats for years. It's called wellfare fat, and yes its horrid. But if the junk is all they can afford then thats it. I've been…

I make what I call a Greek Quinoa. I cook it as normal, although I do use broth instead of water to help flavor. Then chop roasted red peppers, olives, Mediterranean seasoning, and a bit of Feta toss it all together and its a yummy side warm, or a lovely lunch cold. :)

Truth. I am finally starting to enjoy exercise!

Adding a serving of avocado or nuts, gives you a bunch of extra but healthy calories

Well. I no longer drink any store bought soda, but will have one from the Soda Stream every day or two. Most sweeteners are gone, and I absolutely am avoiding bromated vegetable oil. So that's a goal almost done. This week my goal is making it to 235.
