Bumping this cause I had the question but rather than ask it on the forum where it's been asked a million times I did a SEARCH and this came up. It answered what I needed! Cheers to you for posting :drinker: Cheers to me for searching

Twice a day every day . . once in the morning, once at night. I would NOT recommend this as a common practice lol. I just can’t help it. I only record the morning weight though then take the weekly average of those daily morning weights. That weekly average is what I consider my “actual†weight for each week and…

I often have a shake for breakfast and that works for me. I don't like to eat breakfast but need to so it takes the hunger edge off and gets me to lunch time. Plus it does have some essential nutrients I don't otherwise get enough of. I also use them in place of a protein shake from time to time. It's not quite the same…

YES! Eat them!

^^ I frequently tell myself this! I run with headphones and just get into my music. Music is kind of a buffer i guess. I'm convinced that people are staring and making fun but with my music in I don't have to hear it and kind of just run in my own little world. In reality I'm sure people couldn't care less! I have to…

I'm sorry you feel this way. I'm much the same way though. I've always struggled with low self-esteem and my "happiness" on a given day often hinges on how I feel about my body which is rarely positive. Some days are better than others but I also have a difficult time seeing anything but the flaws regardless of what…

Can't believe I'm admitting this but Deep Fried Twinkies and Snickers bars are soooooooo good! You can only eat like half of one cause they're so rich but they are pretty tasty.

^^ THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSS These are all great tips guys! A couple for me: - Just logging everything on mfp (even if I go over one day) being aware of and managing my specific daily calorie intake helps a ton! - Actually eating all my daily cals plus exercise cals - This is still…

Almost a whole week! That's a major accomplishment for me! :embarassed:

Alcohol . . . It's totally empty calories to me now.

<PEAR!! When I was being fitted for a bridesmaid dress last September my bust and waist measured at a size 4 (Hooray!!) . . . . But wait! My booty/hips measured at a size 10! :noway:  Fortunately we were wearing flowy skirt dresses so the hip measurements didn't matter . . . :drinker: It's such a frustrating shape. I…

I'm just more afraid of seeing the calorie total turning red lol. :blushing:

There may be other mental/emotional factors that play into and/or even result in your bingeing (I'm learning this one about myself . . ) so treatment might really help you sort it out. Would your parents insurance maybe cover it? You're right, it's totally cost prohibitive by itself! It might be worth checking if it's…

Apple slices and a little PB or Almond Butter! Yum!

Very well explained! Thank you!

^^ This! You can absolutely be ready in 6 months! I too went from 5k to half marathon in about 4 months. In retrospect I probably should have given myself an extra couple of months to be fully prepared but you are already on the right track and it sounds like you're training sensibly. If you keep working like you are it's…

You might consider some more cross training. You mentioned swimming but maybe try cycling/spinning? I know it's been really helping my half marathon training! :) Intervals (sprinting, hill repeats etc.) can be good too. Your body can get bored (and actually lazy!) with the same type of run over and over again. Maybe you…

Welcome Katie! You've come to the right place. Lots of friends and support here! :flowerforyou:

All of these for me too! ^^ That's a great way to think about it. I always feel SOOOOO guilty about wasting food but I never thought of it as waste in the form of extra weight . . . That's a great new perspective I can really use to help prevent it! Might I also add: Restricting to make up for excess calories already…

Weigh daily but use the weekly average of those daily weights to get the most accurate gauge of your current weight. The scale seems to play fewer tricks on me when I do it that way.

March has been a bit of a struggle for me too. Like Jul158 says though, try to remember that you ARE strong enough to be in control over it! I know that a lot of time it doesn’t feel that way but you’ve obviously gotten the upper hand over it before so you can again just don’t give up! I also try to plan things in great…

Thanks to all of you! I'm definitely going to get some new ones. I'm now looking into the best places to get properly fitted. Thanks again!
