Couldn't have said it better myself! Awesome job!! :drinker:

I think this is fantastic perspective. I routinely struggle with feeling like I should go for the RX but then get really frustrated when I end up with "stare at the bar while I catch my breath" moments during a WOD. Conversely when I go below RX I often feel like I'm not pushing myself hard enough. It's a lovely war in my…

Doesn't sound like those of us with the stickers are the lame ones . . .

Rock the half. Train for another full then rock it when you're fully ready. ;)

I wish I had advice for y'all but 6 months into CF I still don't feel quite "worthy" to offer legit advice yet! That being said, my 2014 CF goals: -Free standing hand-stand (by default, improve my core balance and stability) -String together double unders -Drastically improve my snatches and OHS -Murph at RX

I could use a 3 hour snatch seminar . . . my NEMESIS!

Running. I always keep a half-marathon on the horizon to keep me motivated lol. I also ride/train horses. CF has been HUGELY beneficial to both my riding and running endeavors!

ALMOST PR'd Fight Gone Bad last night. Missed it by a mere 9. Ugh! BUT, this time I did it RX whereas the last time we did it (about 4.5 months ago) I had just started CF and had to scale everything but the row. I feel a little better about being only 9 away knowing it was RX! I plan to blow it out of the water next time!…

Lol I just got a PM from her as well . . . The first one I've gotten from her since joining Crossfit Love. I guess that means I'm officially part of the Crossfit Awesome club! ;)
-
Lol I'm with ya there! Git r done in October! ;)
-
Andreae13 are you in Wa state? I just did Spartan and I'm doing the October TM as well. I'm a lot less concerned about mudder given the absence of Burpee penalties lol. :D Plenty enough to be intimidated by without worrying about the damn burpees!

First time posting in the group. First time I've felt worthy lol. :P I've been crossfitting for about 2 months now and last night I PR'd my dead lift at 185 and also completed my first lifting WOD at the RX weight! Yay for small victories. :)

Me too.

Lol. Me too! I am definitely not a very "attractive" work-outter lol.

Another vote for Higdon! I had to modify it slightly so it meshed with my schedule (weekly mileage stayed the same I just had to juggle some days around to make it work!) but it kept me on track. Runner's World also had a good one although it is pretty similar to Higdon's. The runners world one had a few variations though…

When I first read it I gave up meat . . . for a week lol. Personally I appreciated the snarky deprecating humor but that’s just how I am so that worked for me. I liked that it was to the point and although it was a bit over the top, it didn’t apologize for what it was. At first I was a little offended by the “Vegan way is…

The phrase IS "I couldn't care less". It is just all too often spoken incorrectly.

ERMAHGERD!!! I have the exact same problem! Whatever fits the booty is HUGE in the waist, whatever fits the waist makes the booty feel like it's even HUGEer. :grumble:

I'm in a similar situation only a few inches taller (5'7). I'm bouncing between 136 - 140. The day of my marathon (so after aaaalllll that running!) I got to 133 but now I'm back to 136 - 140 and can't get it to budge! I'd like a comfortable 130 or better yet 128ish so with the normal fluctuations I can average about 130…

Just run. :flowerforyou: Google 10k training plans (Hal Higdon, Runners World etc.). You can tweak them to work with your schedule but the idea is just to give you some guidelines to follow until your body is able to tell you how best to train. I still use the training plans for my marathons mainly to keep me on track but…

Well said!

I agree. Especially if you're working out plenty. You'll need a little more to fuel it and you shouldn't have to be hungry all the time! And I love that you said holy monkeys.
