I am setting a goal for myself, I want to jog a 10k. I have never been a jogger/runner. I love to walk and I have walked a couple of 10k's but this year I really want to push myself. Five months ago I had my first child and I have recently gotten back in the gym. I am not in the best shape but I am headed in the right direction. How should I start training to run a 10k?

Just run. :flowerforyou:
Google 10k training plans (Hal Higdon, Runners World etc.). You can tweak them to work with your schedule but the idea is just to give you some guidelines to follow until your body is able to tell you how best to train. I still use the training plans for my marathons mainly to keep me on track but honestly my body has gotten pretty good at telling me when it's got a 20 miler in it or if we're only going 3 today lol.0 -

Start with the C25K program at coolrunning then move on to their 10k training programs. They have apps to help with the intervals.0
