congrats on your baby and choosing to breast feed! you and your baby are blessed! my gentle advice is to be wary of people who will tell you to stuff in a ton of extra calories while breastfeeding. graciously evaluate if their overall health and fitness are something you would like to emulate. i take my cues from women who…

hehe, I started losing weigh because I couldn't afford to buy new clothes after having a baby. SO THANKFUL to have blown right past my pre-preggo weight... but now I STILL need new clothes! smaller ones!! :)

I am 5'2'' started at 137 after having my baby and am down to 115.5 now :) I started walking, then jogging, then running (racing my second 1/2 marathon on Sunday) and I cut out processed foods. I increased my veggie intake and my calorie goal is around 1300/day. Hope this helps!

I LOVE sparkling water (plain or naturally flavored - not the kind with artificial sweeteners!!) and to be honest I still drink coffee (but I don't consider that clean... I just haven't given it up yet. Hopefully I will one day)

I have been running for a few years and the closest I have come to placing was to get 3rd in my age group in a local 5K, after about a year of running. It wasn't even a PR, just a really small race, hehe. I hope to place in my age group again someday, but I wouldn't stress about it too much if I were you - you are doing…

great work! such a great example of "no excuses!" can't wait to have a tummy like yours!

this was my goal 4 months ago! I made it to 120! I am happy, but I have also set a new goal - 110 and a size 2! This picture is me at about 118lbs. Just going to keep running, eating between 1350-1500 calories a day (depending on exersize) and see that happens!

I am 5'2'' and 29 years old. I started on MFP around 140 lbs after having my first baby and am down to about 117 now. I started running and eating clean. Hope this helps!

best supplement ever: HWC - hard work and consistency. works every time.

When I started on MFP I was +20lbs my drivers license weight. Now I am -6lbs. Holla!

1) drink lots of water 2) make exercise a priority. obviously not higher priority than feeding a hungry baby, but over say dishes or time online :) 3) involve hubby in the exercise so that it is family time too 4) eat healthy calories. yes, you may need more while breastfeeding but it doesn't mean we get to eat terribly!…

dated 6 months, engaged for 3 months, married now for 3 years (yesterday was our anniversary!) might not be right for everyone to go that fast (we were 26 years old, graduated college and working when we met), but it was perfect for us and I am very thankful for our healthy marriage. my husband is my biggest supporter in…

one of the best, most inspiring stories I have seen. you look happy and healthy. awesome work!

today is my second day without dairy and meat. for the FIRST time, today when I really wanted a cookie, it wasn't just the calorie count that kept me away, it was the knowledge I have gained about how the ingredients can affect me. I think sometimes I can justify a few extra calories - but in this case, knowledge…

i am sure many of us are thinking about not just our diets, but our family's too. we don't want our spouses to die young or our kids to develop bad eating patterns. so it makes sense that we would want our families to be "on board" that said, if your husband REALLY wants to eat meat and hates tomatoes I think it is…

I just watched the movie yesterday on Netflix. I watched it by myself while my daughter was napping and then again when my husband got home because I just HAD to show it to him. He has long been wary of dairy, he says he "stuffs it down" thinking it is necessary - so he is happy to cut that out. And he is willing to try…

did you know that you can change the serving size of any food item? the default is "1 serving" but in the case of 3 bites of rice, you could enter "0.2 servings" or something like that. if you haven't tried this before, you can change the serving size by clicking on the name of the food in your diary (or when you first…

a few ideas: move a little bit everyday. move a little more next week than you did this week. try to stick to foods that are not very processed (fruits and veggies, skim dairy, lean meats). drink a full glass of water before each snack or meal. then drink more water after that. sign up for a 5K. even if you walk it and it…

I have been working out using Jillian Micheals DVDs for about 4 weeks. For me it is my only way to get in a workout while at home with a sleeping baby. I also go out for runs in the afternoon, but I wouldn't be able to get to a gym for a sculpt or aerobics class or anything like that. I used to think work out DVDs were…
