  • it's probably nothing but I would still change your ticker bc next week when you lose a lot you can change it back. I gained 7.5 pounds while vacationing in FL and although it might not have been all fat i still acknowledged it and then this past week I lost 4. I debated about even weighing in after my vacation but the…
  • I change mine with my weekly weigh in
  • I completed the C25K last year from march-may. I had never run a day in my life and I was jogging for 35 minutes at the end. I highly recommend it but follow the plan, don't skip ahead! good luck!!...oh yeah I also downloaded the podcast bc this guy tells you when to walk and when to run which is easier than looking at…
  • I went over my cals today by 800 and I can do an hour cardio and burn those 800 but is that realistic? I know with weight watchers we were only allowed to use so many of our activity points ie: even if we earned 10 exercise points we could only use up to 6 i think it was. whats your take on this? will I still lose weight…
  • So I went to FL like I do every year and normally my mom and I play tennis and I run and we are very active. she buys the healthy foods I like and I normally come home 5 pounds lighter! Well this year my sister, brother in law and 2 year old niece come too. Here's how the week went to wrong. The weather in FL this week was…
  • so you did it again and you can get back on track again. it's only bad if you dont get back up. I flew to florida yesterday and in thr orlando airport alone I had mcdonalds and ice cream, then when I got to my parents place it was stocked with doritos, peanut butter cookies, biscuits, quesadillas, ice cream cake etc. I had…
  • no longer obese according to my BMI:) yay for me! well I'm on vacation in FL so let's hope it stays that way.
  • I have the polar F6 too! love it!
  • Hungry girl!! google it:)
  • I like the posting on success stories idea cause it keeps your mind and hands budy, I also like to plan the next days menu and try to hit my calories, protein, fiber, fat and carbs to the number! (almost impossible but it keeps me busy) :)
  • hummus for sure, the bun, aioli, cheese, hashbrowns on the sandwich!!! all that sounds pretty high cal. i know hummus can have quite a bit bc it is made with olive oil but the salad and fruit etc sounds much better. maybe you could get the chicken by ltself, not a sanwich and get the salad and fruit instead of hashbrowns??
  • not true at all. I did weight watchers and it works like this. you get a set number of points each day based one weight and some other factors. eg: mine was 28. each week you get an extra 35 points to do whatever you want with so if you want to spread them out over the week or eat them all on in one day you can. exercise…
  • I plan my menu the night before and I find it's easier to stick to when I dont have to think about what to eat next. I already know...when I have to think "hey what do I want for lunch today?" bad things happen, like fast food, or overeating. now of course things happen and change your day, like today, I was so busy that I…
  • I loved october road but I heard it was cancelled like a year ago...I also loved 'the nine', 'big shots' 'men in trees'...'lipstick jungle'...i'm sure there are more. I am mad too!
  • Does anyone know how much is too much protein?? All of the articles Ive found assume that if someone is eating high protein then they are also eating low carb which isnt the case with me. or the article is geared towards body builders. tomorrow I will be eating 130 grams of carbs and 173 grams of protein. ugh, I think I…

  • since no one can agree I say don't eat them one week and see what happens, then eat them and see what happens. everyone is different:) personally I eat them, I'm starving if I don't and I feel long term success depends on me not feeling starved everyday.
  • oh also I have my plan set at a 40%/30%/30% ratio (carbs, protein fat) which is what the zone diet recommends.
  • refried beans can have A LOT of fat bc they are made with lard so check the labels!!!
  • I'll be on an airplane!! with my own snacks so I'm in the clear.
  • like nutrisystem or just a personal menu??
  • So I'm trying to be more conscious not just about my calorie intake but getting the right protein, carb and fiber each day. it seems like I'm always going over on one or all three even if I'm within my calories. here is tomorrows final tally. the numbers are as follows: calories/carbs/fat/protein/fiber Total: 1,320 152 30…
  • i second the ice chest idea. sandwiches that you make or wraps are good. you could probably even have lean pockets and use a gas station microwave to heat it up.
  • I miss everything I used to eat and I'm not strong enough to have smaller portions. eg: pizza, burgers, big mexican plates with refried beans, queso tortillas. I do make the healthy versions of all these things but it just isnt the same:(
  • oh yeah, who needs to bake them?? lol
  • I was at target tonight waiting for a prescription refill and passed the cookie dough in the freezer section. I wanted it sooo bad, I must have picked it up 4 or 5 times to put it in the basket but the voice in my head kept telling me nothing good could come out of it. I told myself that I would only have one but i knew…
  • yeah! no pudge brownie mix is in a pink box with a pig on it and all you add is fat free vanilla yogurt and each brownie is like 120 calories!! awesome, I made them last week. no one at work knew the difference.
  • awestfall...could you post your daily menu just so we can see and give some more suggestions.
