If i dont workout intentionally, I claim walking in the park as excersise. If I workout that day, then Ill definetely claim it. for me the idea is not to be sedentary for the entire day, and also I dont want to feel bad about myself if I dont workout that day. So Ill claim walking the dog as a last resort, because anything…

Caloric values are just numbers. dont worry so much about them focus more on quality of food; and eat when you are hungry. Bottom line, if you have body fat to spare, you aren't going to enter any type of starvation mode anytime soon.

You can do it! :)

People who are starving in third world countries and anorexic patients are in starvation mode. Thier body has used up all/mostly a dangerous level of fat stores and most of its muscle... Eating below 1200 calories will not cause you to retain weight indefinitely, it will cause a slower weight loss though, but weight loss…

Weight loss---> stay in caloric range (regardless of what you eat) Health---> eat wholesome foods while staying in calori range. you will lose weight and have a healthier body if you eat the appropriate caloric range of healthy foods.

first dont see this as a diet.. see it as something you will strive to become for the rest of yourself. secondly... do what you KNOW that you can do for the rest of your life, taper it to YOUR needs and expect that the more exceptions you make for yourself, the slower your results...but you will get there. IF you want…

food: eat healthy, practice proper portion size > exercise. lets say that a slice of cake has 400 calories, it would take 40 minutes jump roping fast to burn it off... when you could have avoided those 400 calories in the first place to create a 400 calorie deficit. - Diet is more effective in creating a deficit. Also, the…

I was pushing hamburgers into my face, was a very dirty eater at the time and always eating desserts, lots of fried foods, not drinking NEARLY enough water and feel very bad about myself and the way I looked and felt. I was also ignoring my Celiac and just eating loads of bread products and always feeling so bloated and in…

Awesome work! you should be so proud of yourself, fantastic progress!

I think a smart idea is to just write the food down on paper or something and then track it all at once, that way you limit your time using the calorie counter. I dont track my calories religiously, but i enjoy tracking my exercise and giving and receiving positive feedback...that is mainly why I use MFP, for community.
