My back up plan is to log in to MFP and start logging. I think there are many of us who had vacation time this summer and I know I gained some weight. When your Mom and other relatives are asking you to go to dinner at the Chinese buffet because its their favourite thing to do with you, it's not like you can say no...…

I was told to drink tea. I actually dislike tea so it kinda works. LOL

I am having trouble with mine. The weight fluctuations are pretty radical sometimes and it makes me wonder what the truth even is? After nearly three weeks on this plan, I don't know if I started at 332lbs or 326lbs... and I don't know if I really weigh 320lbs or 323lbs... either way, the whole thing irritates me. I do…

Shirtless *kitten*... that's me. I want to wear tank tops and otherwise dress guy-slutty as much as possible. HAHA. Tattoo for sure. I want a half sleeve into something on my pec... oh, and I want pecs again. Man-boobs are not pecs. Getting sexy photos done? Yeah that sounds good too. I'd like to commemorate my sexiness…

I noticed that you're 20 years old and I personally had somewhat of a life remodel at age 20. You're out of your teens, you're realizing your adult self, and you're letting go of the constraints that came with the pressure of being a teenager. This is going to be an amazing time in your life because what you are doing…

Umm.... is this a problem for you? Feeling hot & having lots of sex isn't a bad thing... right?

I have a boyfriend, not a girlfriend! Boo yah! LOL

I was watching some talk show at some point this past year where it talked about relationships with food. How do we treat food? What role does it play in our lives? Etc. Anyway, this did help me understand why I do what I do. I realized (especially after a visit from my mother this summer) taht in our family growing up, we…

Agreed 110%. Cool Runnings is amazing. Also, check out a store like The Running Room for shoes. They will do an assessment of your running style and the way your feet hit the ground in order to get you the best possible shoes for your personal needs. Not sure what kinds of stores you have available but anywhere that does…

Try going later on at night. I find there are lots of people there hiding out from the day time crowd. The above was my immature answer... Below is my mature answer... You walk into that gym with your head held high. You walk yourself out there AND you work out til you're sweating buckets on the floor. AND... when you're…

Congrats to you for taking on this challenge. I'm sort of similar: going from 327lbs to 240lbs. I am in the middle of my 2nd week back on the wagon that is MFP. One of those times in my life where trying isn't an option. Gotta get er done!

You really should be drinking WATER... Pure, clean, unadulterated water...

It's often all about the shoes. I had the same exact symptoms as you did, got high quality running shoes at the Running Room (chain store, not sure if you have it but it's great), and it was night and day. No more problems. I apparently pronate, which means my ankles kind of cave in toward each other which was causing the…

Congratulations, not only for the run but for being a great dad. You're leading the way for a little guy, showing him a better, healthier lifestyle for his future. Keep it up!

I prefer the one man... and a second man... model myself. I know the self-appointed morality police take issue with that but they can go suck a... chicken sandwich. LOL

I think our laws are misplaced. We want to stop grown men from taking child brides and otherwise being abusive to unsuspecting women but we don't do that by painting all plural marriages with the same brush. It's clear to me that marriages that involve one woman and multiple men OR marriages that involve one man and…

You should be able to treat yourself every day if you budget your calories accordingly. I find it easier to treat myself best on gym days (MWF) when I burn and earn around 900 calories of extra food. I have been getting a Tim Horton's Ice Cappuccino which is about 310 calories. Someone else noted that this isn't a diet...…

I am already built like a pro-wrestler at 6'3 and relatively thin at 240lbs but imagine me now at 326lbs. I had the horrible rollercoaster moment last month. I am often too tall in the torso for alot of rides but at this one, it was simply the size of my rear end. LOL. I can't have that happen next season. The worst…

It has never happened that I have stuck to MFP's protein suggestions. Whenever I am losing weight and feeling good, it's a higher protein diet though what I did is add the saturated fat tab to my matrix so I am careful on that. I want good fats, not bad fats and healthy and clean proteins will accomplish that.

I wanted one for years. Finally got it after I finished my first year at Western Law: a maple leaf with a celtic design inside. It's pretty cool and I don't regret it at all. Now thinking of getting a second one on my inner left arm of a nautical star.

It's hard when people seemingly want you to fail. Just remember, it's not about you: it's about THEM.

Amazing and beautiful woman. Congratulations!!!

Hey guys, re-starting my fitness journey now. I was always overweight as a child and in the second year of my BA, I decided that I would join the Canadian Armed Forces and turn my fitness-life around. I worked hard to turn things around and I succeeded but unfortunately I ended up seriously injuring my back during basic…

Hey, not a lady here but I wanted to congratulate you on taking these first big steps!

I love hearing stuff like this. Good job, man! Keep it up!

You realize you don't really have that many friends. It was just the gravitational pull. :P

I agree with a previous poster who urged you to try to work these cheat meals in to your overall plan. I have found that on gym days, I rarely come even close to eating all the calories I am allowed so that usually offsets anything. Last week I had my birthday party and I am pretty sure I still went over my daily calories…

I am doing the 2lbs a week goal but like one person said above, "sometimes I lose more and sometimes I lose less". I Lost 18lbs before Christmas but bought a new scale when I got back home. Turns out the scale I used at the gym was quite off so I am confused as to how much I lost before Christmas. I know I am able to wear…

You can do it again. We both can. I was a huge, huge guy in high school. I went to University and chipped away, little by little, until I decided to join the Canadian military. Got to be in pretty decent shape, though still hadn't reached my goal. Probably due to the fitness, and sheer bad luck, I wound up with a pretty…
