Getting back under 300lbs is my immediate goal. About a year ago I was 348lbs and am now 321.8lbs today. Working away at it and hoping to get there soon.

This is totally normal. Just take lots of selfies and eventually you will start to recognize yourself again. For me, I gained a lot of weight after having been in good shape so when I look in the mirror now, i feel like I recognize me which is an amazing feeling after so many shocking years of "who the hell is that in that…

Just a quick update. All that water retention of mine went away and the fat I should have been losing in the mean time just kept being lost... but it was hidden by water. Just keep plugging along, guys. What matters most is the amount of fat being lost here rather than a specific number on a scale. Of course, it's easier…

You're absolutely beautiful. Congratulations!

I'm in the same boat. I was really excited to be 1.6lbs from my summer goal when suddenly my body decided that it would be a great time to start retaining big amounts of water. I'm sitting about 6-8lbs (depending on the time of day) over my actual weight. As someone else mentioned, you would have to overeat in massive…

It's FASCINATING to see how much weight you can lose by pooping. LOL

LOL. Love it.

I keep my scale in the middle of the floor in the bathroom. It's a bit of a reminder that this is a project I am working on. That said, I'm not someone who beats myself up over the number. It's just a number to me that measures where I'm at. I find weighing myself every day or a few times a day helps me understand how…

Thanks for that! I'm actually just over 30lbs down with 52lbs to go but getting very close to that half way mark. Seeing 52lbs to go is much nicer than seeing 82lbs to go. HAHA! I feel better than I have in YEARS after hurting my back. Life is gooood!

I do that all the time too, I guess. It's amazing what good posture does to the message you send the world. If you walk in like you own the place, it's only a matter of time til you do. ;)

I agree 110%. This summer is my "Summer of Fitness" and the goal was to go from 332lbs to under 300lbs before the first day back at school this fall. I am 4.2lbs from that goal and feeling very confident I will hit it. When I get back to school in the fall... the "Autumn of Awesomeness"... I am going to take advantage of…

Way to go!!!

This isn't my first attempt to drop the weight, but this is the first time I have had an open mind about what this process would entail. I am learning that food is food. I don't need to buy the expensive option to have it be healthy and tastey. I am also not afraid to eat "junk food" as part of my larger eating plan. I…

Had a friend like that. If you feel the need to control the flow of information in order to avoid them hurting you with it... why even bother? You should be able to let your hair down among friends. If you can't... can you REALLY call them friends?

Dump her. I had a similar "frienemy" and dumped him this summer. Best way to drop 150lbs or so and you don't even feel hungry! Some people just aren't worthy of being on the journey with you. Screw em. Life is way too short. Life is way too fabulous, exciting, interesting and intriguing too. =D

Shoulders. :)

Unfortunately, you have to eat your vegetables. Rather than decide that you don't like something and write it off, recognize that you can choose to eat healthily OR you can remain at a weight you aren't comfortable with. I am not a big fan of vegetables but I am quickly getting used to a life of salads and fish filets. You…

Channing Tatum is hawwwwwt. Don't be a hater. LOL

Congratulations!! 50lbs is an awesome accomplishment!! Kicking butt!!

Ooooooh yeeeeeaaaah!! DIG IT?? It's the Macho Man! DUH! I miss the good old days of wrestling when everyone was on roids and coke. Now they're all healthy-ish!

My body is insatiable, more or less. If I listened to my body, I'd be 400lbs. I am finding the calorie counting to be extremely beneficial in helping guide me along to get the best bang for my 1800 caloric bucks and am beginning to realize I will spend my entire life counting calories now, even when I get to a place where…

It was enough for me when I got on the scale and it said 332lbs. I realized it wouldn't take much to push up to 400lbs and then I'd be one of those people who can't do anything and is stuck in their house. I want a life! And now I am getting it...

Congrats for having the courage to take on this journey! I'm looking to drop another 93lbs so I think our goals are similar! Feel free to add me and good luck!

I don't mind if people dress up, but I find it obnoxious when a woman steps up on the treadmil beside me reeking of body sprays that she clearly just put on to come out there. I believe no scents make good sense at the gym.

I went to my shelf and took a look... here is what was on the front line that immediately struck me: - Hanging Up - Naked Gun - Milk - Mixed Nuts - Pink Panther

Couldn't possibly go through all 7 pages today but I saw this and had to point out the clear winner....... *kitten*, Newfoundland in Canada. :D

Anything Motown would be excellent for the gym. Always a good beat, sometimes a little softer but it all depends what you like. I'm thinking Sly and the Family Stone but they may be more 70s! Either way, I think you should put them on your playlist immediately. They rock!

Yes... all of this is perfect. This is how I was trained to run as well and I made AMAZING improvements. Remembe rtoo that C25K doesn't consider your speed of running, just the time. You could be sprinting like a maniac for 30 seconds and burn up way more energy than a leisurely jog. The heart-rate method naturally takes…

When I moved to my new apartment, I phased out virtually all plastic containers. It does leach chemicals in to your food if it is a poor quality, non-microwave safe plastic. I prefer my glass dishes that are safe. I can even use them in the oven so they are perfect. AND dishwasher safe. My mother actually uses plastic…
