thanks for the advice everyone, this scale thing is such mental issue for me like no other. It's not about the scale really since a scale can not tell me how "healthy" I really am and I could be "skinny" and still want to die when I walk up 8 flights of stairs lol

Everyone has added amazing suggestions so I don't have much to add. I would just say be patient with yourself, your body will adjust and go through changes. Don't expect to lose a lot of weight the first few weeks just in case it doesn't happen (as was my case). Give your body time to heal and don't rush into another phase…

I've been GL for about six months and it has been a world of difference. I suffered from migraines for 2 yrs as well fatigue, fog, bloating and IBS. After being sleeved I've given up rice, GF breads, potatoes, actually starchy food. I found that I wouldn't get enough protein if I added the starchy food. I do a lot of tuna,…

December 5th here, lost 40lbs / 20 from pre-op. It's coming off realllly slow, it's a journey not a sprint , right?! I've had to relearn how to eat and how much and that's been the most difficult part. I'm thrilled to have had the surgery though.

I started with something similar to this http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml Best advice I was ever given? * Get fitted for your sneakers. I ran in the wrong sneakers for two months and the shin splints were awful! a good pair will run about $100 or you can find an older model for about $85. * Start slow and…

The moment you have to wear another (smaller) ring in front of your wedding band so the wedding band doesn't go flying off. The moment that you realize that running a 10K is totally doable and that a half marathon is not out of reach (never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that I would be a runner! never! and here I…

Mine have. I started at 38DDD and I'm down two cup sizes to 38D and that's barely 38D.

Hi Debbie! I would love support and help! I'm a wanna be runner lol I started training/running last sept. and would love to find out why I'm so darn slow! my distance has increased up to 4 to 5 miles but my pace has remained exactly where it was when I started. Is this normal? I've recently started taking classes that…

I'm 5'3 and started at 236lbs. I tell friends all the time that if I CAN do it, anyone can lose the weight. I have had a food addiction all my life and rarely exercised before having an AHA moment. I still have ways to go so I am all up for a support group if one is created!

Congrats on the milage! I'm a new runner too and I have gotten bit the running bug. My main reason for losing weight is so that I can run faster. :)
