I feel lighter (not because of the weight though) and more carefree whenever I lose weight and stick to a healthy eating plan so in a sense yes, I guess I am happier.

I've always heard from fitness professionals that 1-2 lbs a week was ideal. I just signed up here and the calculator suggested that I lose even less than 1lb a week so I'm not too thrilled about that.
