  • If you want to start running the Couch to 5K program is really useful. Just google it! Cool Runnings is the original, I think. Basically, it is interval training and works over 9 weeks to train you up to eventually be able to run 5K. Sometimes it takes more than 9 weeks, has for me anyway because I've repeated weeks when…
  • I have a yoghurt, and apple and a cup of tea (just a drop of milk, no sugar - the proper English way  ) Maybe add 20g of almonds if I know it's a long time til lunch
  • bump cos I just started ripped in 30 yesterday!
  • Hi, I finished the 30 day shred about 2 weeks ago and I thought it was fantastic! I'm a total Jillian Michaels convert now, and just started Ripped in 30. It's a short, high intensity work out that will leave you pretty sore the first couple of days, but it gets easier. That is, until you step up to the next level! It's…
  • I sympathise - my boobs have changed too but unfortunately the opposite way  One thing that might be worth keeping in mind - the consistency? density? i dunno, how your boobs feel can change throughout your monthly cycle due to hormones. Keep an eye (or hand!) on it, maybe track any changes and if it really is unusual…
  • If you want to have a drink with mates at the weekends, or even Thirsty Thursdays  then go ahead! As long as you don't go over your calorie allowance, then why not. Sure, you'll feel *kitten* the next day, and might not be able to have greasy hangover-curing food (I still manage a cheeky bacon sandwich sometimes, if…
  • Think I'm going to stick to 3 times a week, alongside running 3 times, and one swim day. Sounds like it's got positive reviews from everyone! Looking forward to getting to grips with it :drinker:
  • I guess I'll just do it til I get bored of the workout! Then mix it up, maybe move on to ripped in 30 after that. I already run for cardio, on the penultimate week of couch to 5k, up to 28 minutes running and entering a 5K race in 3 weeks!! So I'd rather balance that with more strength, so NMTZ sounds perfect :) I enjoy…
  • Thanks for the tips :) So it's a continuous workout, no time limit like the 30 days in the shred?
  • This ^^ most rational thing anyone's said so far. I get that some people interact a lot and value the friendships found in mutual support and motivation, but you can still motivate and inspire without being that involved. I'm not a friend collector but I know I'm not as active on here as some people on my friend list, I…

  • I'm also on a pretty slow streak, but if there's a downward trend, that's still downward right? I put on 1lb according to the scale this week, but I'd give it more than a week if I were you! Also, if you've worked out your calories using TDEE, then this number already accounts for your activity level, so you shouldn't be…
  • Awesome thanks for the tips :) I'll follow your blog to see how you're doing n get an idea of the workout :glasses:
  • There, fixed it for you :) you just need to put [ img ] at the beginning and [ /img ] at the end of the link without the spaces. edit: you might want to resize them though :) p.s. congrats on the loss :)
  • I LOVE this cereal, I had a housemate who worked for Kellogs so could get boxes for £1.....VERY VERY dangerous!! such a bad idea!! :grumble: you'd probably only get 4 pieces in a bowl for 120 calories :frown: as long as you weight I'm sure portion sizes will be fine. I used to eat it for breakfast every day...and now here…
  • I just find that she goes so fast! I can't keep up with her and I still haven't got to grips with the form of most of the moves. I've only done it a couple of times and not made it all the way through yet, but tonight is the night, I'm determined! How did you find it?
  • bumping to save these delicious sounding recipes! :) I use a bit of balsamic vinegar with canned tuna, really tasty!
  • I can only find clips of it on youtube, sorry. (I downloaded, sshhh  ) Gingerjen - How is Killer buns and thighs? I'm interested in mixing it up with another workout! I will be doing it 3 times a week, mixed with running and swimming on other days, so I think I'll try to do 4 weeks (12 workouts) then move up to…
  • I had exactly the same reaction when I finished the first 20 minute run!! I couldn't believe I could do it! Congratulations :drinker: The 22/25/28/30 minute runs only get easier from here on in
  • I've found Jillian Michaels' DVDs invaluable! I've just finished 30 day shred and about to start 6 week 6 pack tonight!! Most of her vids are between 25-45 minutes, and all you need are some hand weights!
  • bumping for more advice please :)
  • ah cool, thanks for the reply :) I'm guessing that's 3 weeks doing it 6 days? Do you think it'd be ok to do it the same number of times (18 each level?) just spread out more?
  • I say let it go grey and own it! Who's to say it doesn't make you look distinguished? It's certainly not a sign of weakness in my opinion. There's a famous writer here in the UK called Caitlin Moran and her grey streak is something of a trademark Strident feminist and fantastic author. If you can get it, read her book 'How…
  • I agree that it's probably water weight, a lb of fat every day seems a bit implausible. But the two aren't mutually exclusive, could have been mostly water and a bit of fat.
  • I'm in the UK, so not too sure how helpful I might be, but I know over here your back size (the 34 or 36) is your underbust, so I'd say get a 32 as it will stretch a little as you wear it. Your cup size is generally the number of inches larger your bust is than your back. So yours would be G by my calculations. Does 32G…
  • ooo cashew cheese sauce sounds ace! could you use that on a lasagne?
  • My boyfriend is allergic to dairy and when he accidentally has it his skin is one of the first signs!! You gotta be careful with labels, because even if it doesn't say it contains milk, it can contain whey powder, which has the same effect if you have an allergy. Your allergy could be to either lactose (the sugar/carb in…
  • All the time! Always when we come in from work or say good bye for whatever reason, sometimes I'll just kiss his cheek when we're watching a movie n he'll give me a proper kiss, before we go to sleep, cooking dinner, *definitely* during sex. Basically just any chance or excuse we get :)
  • Yes, I have!! They were amazing! Got tickets for them in November too. I'm in the UK so don't get the opportunity much so twice in one year makes up for it!!!
