  • I started at about 175lbs, so a bit heavier, and am currently 148lbs, so not quite at your goal just yet! But at 5'6" it has made a lot of difference to me! I'm at work right now so don't have access to my before/after photos but I can upload them for you later on :)
  • True. It is funny as I do see people like that!
  • Unfortunately I can't really remove the carpet as we're renting the house. The landlord didn't even want us taking the horrible "art" off the walls. A tile is a great idea! At least then I won't have to run downstairs in the cold ;)
  • 15-30 lbs?! wow. I guess it'll be a quick weigh in with all my curtains closed then :blushing: Thanks!
  • moar kitty gifs please :)
  • great advice guys, thanks, definitely going to join that group! Had my first boot camp class this morning, I'm totally going to be ready if I do that 3 x a week!!!!
  • I think body pump and the weights circuits in the boot camp class will help with my upper body, although I've never been to the boot camp class at my gym so not sure what to expect. God knows I need to improve my upper body strength, I can barely do push ups haha
  • Like others have said, the first time might take a little while, but if you cook the same things over again, then you have I to hand. A lot of stuff in my dairy is listed as things like "Thai green curry, home made paste, no rice" so I know exactly what it is lol
  • aww thanks guys you're all so kind!! I think I just wanted long hair for the sake of having long hair! A bob is so easy to look after, and dries so quick! I loved the blonde hair I had, but it was very expensive to maintain, lots of getting roots done and intensive conditioning. Might go back when/if I get a pay rise!…
  • Situations like this just pop up in life, you've just got to learn how to deal with it. Like someone said, just make the best choices you can and don't stress about it :)
  • I live in Manchester! I love this city :)
  • I think the idea behind the ad is very appealing - embrace the beauty that you have, don't be so down on yourself etc. What I noticed, however, is the huge lack of diversity in the participants and the reinforcement of dominant stereotypes of beauty. Do we all have to be white, blonde, blue eyed and thin to be beautiful? I…
  • Thanks for all the tips guys! Looks like I'll be getting those weights out!
  • I hope it helps :)
  • Thanks for all the input :) I've recently invested in well-fitting bras, both day time and sports bras! For those who suggested surgery, it's not an option for me, firstly because I don't have the money but also because I'm fighting to create the body I want with diet and exercise, if slightly deflated boobs are a side…
  • Oh yeah, investing in a new sports bra definitely has helped! haha I love running but without a decent sports bra I was afraid of giving myself black eyes!! I don't have the money or the inclination to get a breast lift, a lot of my money is just going on buying new bras every couple of months, which at my size…
  • Thanks for all the input, and I'm so glad I'm not the only one! :) I run a lot, and love to run outside so don't really use the gym a lot. Would chest flies/chest press with hand weights have the same effect?
  • Thanks ladies! I'll keep moisturising and attempt some push ups :)
  • I totally mix mine up, some random genres together keeps it interesting! Rio -Duran Duran Smack my b*tch up - prodigy Go your own way - fleetwood mac Work it out - beyonce Hella good - no doubt Trampled underfoot - led zeppelin Rumour has it - Adele
  • I use " simple c25k", it's a blue square logo, runs in the background behind your music. Just set it up, press start and then press the home button without exiting, then start ur music. It's just a beep to tell you when to start or stop running. It's totally free too, all the way to week 9. I've just downloaded the bridge…
  • I've lost 23lbs over about 40 weeks....yes it's slow, but that means it'll stay off and I won't get saggy skin etc. 15lbs in 12 weeks would be a DREAM for me, it's a really good rate of loss, it's healthy and much more maintainable than a quick 18lbs loss in a matter of a few weeks. Just have patience. You said it…
  • Don't be so down on yourself, I can definitely see a difference. Bear in mind though, that your photos are only 2 weeks apart, which is hardly any time at all! I completed 30DS a while ago and didn't see any difference at all in weight or inches until level 3. It just takes your body a little while to react to a change in…
  • My name's Milly and there was this band in the 80s.....
  • Get some jerk spice dry rub on them! Delicious!
  • I'm hoping to incorporate it into my usual routine, maybe cut down on other things a little bit to focus on training. Lucky you winning training sessions! Long (well, long for me) distance running can get a bit dull, especially on a treadmill! Once the weather is a little better I'll be outside and I'll definitely enjoy…
  • Thanks! Have you completed it? How did you find it?
  • I've heard a bit about the New Rules of Lifting - does it give you specific workouts with weights/sets/reps to do? where can I find the programme?
  • I completed couch to 5k in the summer, so my cardio is more keeping up with it. I go back a few stages and try and get quicker. Moving on soon to the bridge to 10k as I've signed up for a charity race in May! eek! Looks like braving the free weights room is the way forward. Thanks for the replies guys :)
  • Wow some really unhelpful comments here! As a Brit, I also have no idea what this mystical measurement of "1 cup" is, so I just try to find an entry of the kind of rice I'm using that is in grams, so many entries just say "1 cup", which could/does mean anything you want it to! There will be entries for rice in grams, but…
