  • Congrats! I know that children learn better by example. Now if only I can start to be a better example and then the hubby could be too. Anyone know if this works for teenagers? LOL
  • Well the itty bitty bit I did do this week on just the first day, I am still feeling it. I have not returned to it because of my work schedule and also that I won't be able to do it next week because I have surgery tomorrow (oral). I am not to exert myself after to not hinder the healing. That doesn't mean I won't do…
  • Try a bath instead. Any warm water will help. Oh and dont forget to stretch your quads and other parts of your legs so they don't tighten up. Next time try for a few more steps past the 1 lap and keep adding each time you run. Before you know it, you would have done 2 laps! Good Luck and keep going!
  • Not sure where my last post went. Could I be running too slow? I walk about 2.8 but run 4.2 to 4.4... I could run harder but wont that be harder on me and make me feel even more 'weird'?
  • I am not sure if c25k is going to work. I may have to go at a slower pace. I just don't feel right and may be pushing too hard but I also don't want to give up again! I got through W2D1 today but almost gave up because I started to feel ill. Maybe a few changes? How many of you do this right when you get up before you eat…
  • Not sure where everyone went. Are we continuing this thread somewhere else? Did W1D3 today, completely! Even after a bad day yesterday. Time to look forward and not at what my bad day did to the scales. I need to go download W2D1 music... kind of nice to know there will be new music each week too! So where is everyone else?
  • Update... since I am forgeting to post this here. Monday I actually got through a full W1D1!! And today I got through it again so I consider that W1D2. Tomorrow I am getting new shoes, I think the ones I have are more for walking and they are very light with very little support. Just so you know, I got so worked up about…
  • I didn't do W1D3 today but will do W1D3 on monday. Way too much Saturday trying to get the last 2 Saturday's stuff done in 1 Saturday.
  • Don't forget to stretch your quads and hamstrings. I do after my lil walk/runs. Lets just say I learned a lesson from squats and body-4-life
  • looks like you got your answer
  • W1D2 not completed again but I did get a little further. I won't give up, I will keep at it because I want to this to work. Shoes..... I think I have the wrong tennis shoes. I had toe cramps a couple days ago at night but didn't think nothing of it but I had my left toes start to cramp up before I even head to the shower!…
  • thanks, Katie, you are an inspiration. Since I couldn't complete w1d1. I just know I need to keep at it.
  • Started Nov 1st, here is what I posted to a new friend in MFP. Well, I did get up and walk/run for the first time today. Got to be quick about the message because I leave for work in less then 10 minutes. So how did it go? If I didn't have the music and prompts I know I wouldn't have done as well. Altough I didn't make it…
  • I'm 42 and know how much different it is to lose at this age. Feel free to add me, too. I am looking for the same age group of friends to motivate and be motivated by. God's Blessings to you all.
